I had to beg for leave and receive the experimental gene therapy shot but I’ll be there Wednesday - Sunday!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I be making it this year. I am still forbidden from ‘non-essential’ travel. And I haven’t been able to convince my bosses this event is essential. Have a good time and take some pictures for me!

What time are you heading out?

I’m planning on showing up Wednesday around lunch but I think I could be persuaded to arrive Tuesday if you are interested in getting an early start. Let me know if you are going to make it Tuesday.

I’ll be there. I’ll transferring during that time (Norfolk to Norfolk; not moving across country or anything) so I’ll already be on leave. Trying to talk the wife (and kids) into coming as well, but we’ll see. I’m sure at least one of the kids will be there too even if she doesn’t come.

Pics never do the hills justice but with the people at the top in the first one you can at least get an idea of the scale.

Thank you all for tolerating my kiddos especially Emmit/Sue, Dennis, Chris, Rich and anyone else who they suckered rides from or picked fights with. I and everyone else in my crew had a great time. It was pretty cool seeing the HMMWVs out on some real trails this year. I didn’t take many...

We are leaving momentarily and should arrive by 6pm with M1009 and M818.

My leave was approved, so my oldest son (Brian) an I will be there Wed-Sun!! My dad (Dale) will probably come down Fri-Sun. We are planning on bringing the M818 and the M1009. Can’t wait! —Shawn

I am heading down with the M818 this afternoon and plan on staying until Sunday. I am looking for a CUCV fuel cap if anyone has one. Last year, Westy has said he could bring me one but didn't see him in the list of attendees. Hope you have a speedy recovery, SW.
