    Push button headlight switch testing.

It's a gift-- and a curse. After having a few deuces and starting my baby HEMTT project, I seem to have managed to end up with some spare parts that I'm still unearthing. Trades / swaps / being paid in parts for some fabrication projects for others-- it all seems to accumulate... or maybe it...

    Push button headlight switch testing.

Good idea with a 24v source. I know the switches are static sensitive; even to the point of being told to connect the ground to the switch body first before plugging it into the wiring harness. Just as soon not smoke it while testing it to see if it's good.

    Push button headlight switch testing.

I've got two push button headlight switches and want to test them but have nothing with 24 volt M-series wiring system I can plug them into. Is there any way to test these (VOM?) to make sure I don't just have 2 push button headlight switch paperweights?

    Grove M977 Crane

I ran into the same problem and found that, unlike the HIAB cranes, the Groves were a one shot deal. Drwgs supplied by the military who took the drwgs back along with all spare parts and assembly fixtures when the contract was fulfilled. And that's as per Grove Cranes themselves.

    Grove M977 Crane

    I've got some TMs strewn throughout my computer and there might be something of use. Here's an example;

    Need for frequent inspections

Found this picture in my files again and wanted to share. I bought a pair of tow bar adapters a few years back and found these cracks when I cleaned out the pin bores. This area is often overlooked especially if the holes are full of grease. The holes on the other end of the adapters were also...

How about "WWI & II 5-ton and Smaller"? Over the years, I've managed to collect a bunch of military vehicle-related pictures. Mostly WW1 and some WW2 trucks, motorcycles and armor. How about a convoy of Mack Bulldogs, each with a baby tank in its bed, a Harley Davidson motorcycle w/ side car...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

The internet comes through again--- Found a seller who had some NOS MOPAR stuff; among the items were some WHEELS PROGRAM related parts, another parts catalog, and these. They don't specify California but do fit the bare spot exactly. I can't see anything else going there.

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Yeah, we're quite the trend setter: Highest gas prices in the nation, most restrictive gun laws, most contentious drivers on the road, a DMV whose employees are given a manual and told to "figure out solutions", resulting in overcharging of fees and excessive forms required. California is the...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Your first idea is worth considering until you realize that they tag team you. When you wear one down to the point of giving in, that clerk is replaced by another fresh from the bull pen. Recovery, your second paragraph is just being mean. Out here, $88.88 wouldn't even pay for one session of...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Thanks, Bob. Every bit of information Is helpful. I hate to say it but I'm about ready to relegate the truck to farm or quarry service. It runs and drives OK and I can see plenty of years left hauling feed for the cattle, or tools and excavator or road grader parts around. Just irritating that...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

At this point I'm willing to try anything short of falsifying a document... Don't want to find myself with a 300# cellmate who prefers to be called "Estelle". I may have already made a name for myself down at DMV. I've been in so many times, the counter clerks know me by name. The data plates...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

I'm getting quite an education, NDT. Glad to share. The cars have a different decal for each engine size. The truck decals are different in that they say "applicable to 19XX truck". The decal I need is the next step beyond and it says it's for all "heavy duty engines" from from slant sixes...

The cars have a different decal for each engine size. The truck decals are different in that they say "applicable to 19XX truck". The decal I need is for all "heavy duty engines" from from slant sixes through 440s. Another subtle difference is that M880s aren't W200 3/4 ton pick-ups-- they're...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

I tried that NDT-- no luck. And the emissions decals are different between cars, trucks, and military contract trucks. One person said I'd probably have better luck registering a Deuce and a half since they're without a doubt, a military truck; whereas the M880s look like a civilian Power Wagon...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Currently I'm battling a classic Calif. DMV Catch-22. I bought an M883 for a good price (although it's turning out to be a case of picking up a bag of poop because it was on sale). DMV won't process my paperwork because the truck is missing an "emissions decal", the one that tells what the...

    Interesting find for M880 owners.

Thanks Recovery. Glad to be back. After finding a home for the baby HEMTT, I went off in different directions and have built a "Commercial Model of 1885" Gatling gun. And a 1921 Harley board track racer.... finally, projects whose parts weight less than I do. The RR museum restoration shop...
