The alternators are both brand new I got them off ebay the ad said they were for a M1008. I just ordered the alternator from napa WIL 90014277 should be in tomorrow.

Ok I went home and did an Ohm check on the passenger side alternator and it read between 000.2 and 000.3

Ok I will do that I have an Ohm meter I will check it. I researched the hook up of both alternators and I hooked them both up correctly my guess is that I bought two alternators with no isolated ground.

Ok. I bought 2 new alternators off of ebay and the ad said they were for a M1008. I got them put them on and the fuseable link that goes from the battery to the firewall fried. what could have happened????

Hey guys, I want to remove the blackout light switch and the service light switch on my m1008. I would like to replace the dash and just have a headlight switch only instead of having the two switches. Has anyone done this? If so your help is greatly appriciated. Thanks, Matt...

Well there is a rack and a box with cannon plugs on it in the bed of the truck. The box has a big wire loom going to it. I would like to take that stuff out because i want to put a dog box in the bed of the truck.

Hey guys, I want to remove the military equipment from my truck. I bought the truck to off road with in the summer and snow plow with it in the winter months. will it hurt the truck if i remove the equipment from the truck? Thanks, Matt Tinsman

Hello, I drove my 1984 chevy m1008 last night for the first time and when i shut it off the GEN 1 light stays on but dim. Has anyone had this problem? I had a friend of mine put a new ignition lock cylinder in it because when i got the truck it had no keys. Thanks, Matt Tinsman
