Good looking trucks, I wish I had a tan one now:(. Now why didn't any one take any photos of M1009's in the Gulf war, I can not find any photos.
Madfarmersson.
Well it is tan, just picked up my CUCV up today from the auto body guy.:jumpin:
Can any body post some military photos 0f tan M1009's,
I want to put all of the military markings on it like the NATO chevron
and the TP's on the fender and so on. Any photos would be great...
I do not know much about the M915's, The M915a1 has a stronger motor right?
Reb87 I see your M919 looks great by your Gleaner, I think a M915 should look
good by our Gleaner too.:D
Madfarmersson.
Thanks for the info guys, and thanks for posting the photos O.L.C.I.
I have always liked big trucks and if there Green that is even better.
Can any one give me a rough idea on what one under 100,000 MI, is worth?
Can any one give me a rough idea on the MPG on a M915...
Hey people of the SS,
I am looking at a M915 semi tractor for a farm truck,
we may stretch the frame and put a dump box on it or we
might just leave it a tractor. Any way, I would like to know your opinion
of the M915? What do you think of the Cummins NTC400 engine and Allison auto transmission...
Well we are still going, the farm is keeping us plenty busy, not much time for fun but we are going.
Our motor still needs a lot of work, but the tracks are here and the rear armor is cut out of the back of the cab.
We are discussing what to do about the rest of the armor, what to make and what...
Here is the pics of the front leg, I think I could drill another hole for a third bolt, but two should hold.
I had to weld a stop on the front leg to get it the same hite as the others, see in photo.
Madfarmersson.
Well GLCAINES I have not figured out the soft top yet either,
I just put it on the best I could. It took you several hours hard work and foul
language to install yours? Well I cant explain why mine was so easy, I guess it is because
on the farm I do a lot of things similar to that.
I will...
Castle Bravo I predrilled the holes in the plate, then once the plate was in place I drilled the
holes in the cab, I hope that was what you were asking. The ring was the first thing I wanted for my truck but could not get the ca$h to get one tell now.
Madfarmersson.
Well I found the time to put the ring and cab plate on.
It was not as hard as I was expecting, it took about
20 minutes for the ring. the hardest thing was putting the frount leg on.
I still do not have the right front leg, but the leg I have did not mount up to bad. I had to make my own...
:funny: Well I was hopeing for some numbers or measurments.
Where we farm and ranch we have the tool's, I could cut the leg and angle it,
if I would do that do you think it would work? I knew that some thing would go wrong
with this thing, $300.00 for a set of good used legs for the ring...
Yes it did MKCOEN, I just have not had the time to PM you, looks great.[thumbzup]
Well I need the angle leg, I may just angle it my self.
I do not have the mounting plate either. Does any one have the
blue prince for the front leg and mounting plat?
Just another thought, maby I could make a...
I do not have any of the M66 TM's.
But to make sure that we are on the same page,
I am looking at where the leg bolts to the ring.
Thanks,
Madfarmersson.
Ok I just got my M66 ring mount for my M35 and have a question,
all of the legs that came with it are strate, I have looked
at a lot of photos but they all show a cerved leg on the right front.
Do I have to get the right front leg?
Also where can I find the down loadable M66 installation TM...
