    Waste oil Filtration system

I'm not quite sure how it would hint towards theft. Every day, they have excess oil which is left in the tankers. There's always left over oil. That's why I was asking because his primary use is for asphalt. Not sure how it could be left as it is my uncle who owns the trucks, the company...

    Waste oil Filtration system

Not to be a thread hijacker, but I have a stupid question. What type of oil do most of the tanker trucks haul, and will it work as fuel if properly filtered? I ask because my uncle owns a trucking company that hauls oil (mainly for roads I think), but he also owns land which he leases to an...

Top Few reasons for selling a deuce?

We've only had ours for a month....but I can tell ya some of the parts make me wince (i.e. Air-o-matic, arctic heater, etc.) It's definetely not a budget ride for the one with a mindset of using it. However, I can say one reason I enjoy having it; all of the people who walk by and stop to talk...

Got a new deuce and now it won't start

I promised pics....so here are a couple. Pardon any image quality issues as these were taken from my cell phone. Side shot of M35A2.....front shot of M36A2 After some mixing and matching by Boyce Equipment, both trucks have brand new tires, new batteries, and are pretty solid. Only body...

Got a new deuce and now it won't start

That could have been it. We got it going earlier this afternoon. I'm at work now. Anyway, checked some magnetic solenoid thing (forget the technical name for it) and then after hitting the start button a couple of times, it fired up. So, my guess is it's that switch/solenoid. Anyway, I took...

Got a new deuce and now it won't start

Sorry about that....not stranded....deuce is in the street though :) but parked on the side. Checked continuity in the start switch (that was my first thought), now checking out the grounds and connections to see if something may have vibrated loose on the way home. Batteries appear to be...

Got a new deuce and now it won't start

So, we just got 2 new deuces yesterday, and they drove over 400 miles. Went to start the M36A2 this morning and the power turns on (accessory switch/air buzzes) but the truck wont crank. Almost like an electrical issue. Any quick ideas would be greatly appreciated. Right now we have a charger...

    How long does it take???

Well, after 6 long months, the trucks finally arrived last night. My father-in-law and a few other relatives went to Utah and drove them back. Said both ran great and according to Boyce Equipment, he got a couple of very nice trucks...Somewhat interesting that he said the M36A2 drove faster...

    How long does it take???

He had a issue at first with the EUC, but that was taken care of like 2 weeks after initial purchase in late April/early May. Big bummer is I was hoping to have it last month so I could retro fit a wall tent style area in the bed and take it hunting. The practical use of something like that...

    How long does it take???

Not sure if this forum is where this question belongs, but I couldn't find it in a search. My father-in-law bought a couple of M35s from GL...Bought a M35A2 and a M36A2. What seems odd (maybe) is that he bought these about 5 months ago from the auctions in Clearfield, UT. Apparently he has...

    Newb - Roll off???

Thanks for the pics M1075....boy do I feel stupid not thinking of that. But, every little bit helps :D Too bad I didn't think of that truck before but, live and learn :D Y'all are a HUGE help. We (my father in law and I) have different ideas for our rigs :) I'm thinking of a roll back...

    Newb - Roll off???

Those are the lengths I would want....Nothing major, just something useable. Also, if it makes any difference, my father-in-laws deuce is a M36A2, but from what I know, it doesn't make any difference because the frame is still the same length. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done it...

    Newb - Roll off???

Hey all, I've been reading quite a bit here and done a lot of searching around for different ideas/questions I've had. The most recent idea has been a Roll Off Bed for a deuce or 5 ton (I know, not the right forum for 5 tons). I was thinking for an off-road recovery vehicle or something of...
