I sold some equipment on gov planet / iron planet a few month back, and lets just say the transaction was less-than smooth. Do we have a member here that is still working at either of these shops?
Yep, its the 12v 5.9, another highlight for sure.
Interesting comment on the steering, that actually why I was looking at this machine. Being able to make power turns and counterrotate tracks without having a hydrostatic system. It was one of the things I hated about my D4C, (and all non-hydro...
Any dozer / loader owners out there?
Picked up an 1150 awhile back that was setup as a convertible. (once armored, no longer the case)
Have since found a new enclosed cab / ROPS and am working on getting it running now. The machine was missing all of it's front drive accessories off the...
Shouldn't drive with a brake caged. You'll break stuff. When you hit the brakes, the caging bolt will rip out of the retaining catch in the brake pot and ruin it. If you do cage a brake and drive, you must prevent service air from entering the brake pot.
Thanks for the recommendations on the transformer guys. Talk about hitting the easy-button! Found this 75KVA unit that looks like it'll fit the bill...
Interesting idea, thanks! Had read that you can lower the voltage from a 600v gen set to 480 but not the other way around. I'll look into transformers, seems perfect!
I have a machine with some wacky power requirements, necessitating a dedicated set to put out 600v 3 phase, and roughly 60KW. The folks I got the machine from, ran the unit off of a 90KW set, but noted it was oversized for the application.
So I'm looking into options for a new (hopefully used)...
Nice blueprint.
Arrow shows where you first contact the drum, the brass hexagonal boss for the valve stem is quite thick here. Tried fluffing that down a bit with the grinder. Still no luck.
The drums have a taper on them from casting, so the interference grows worse as you slide the rim...
It was a pretty big interference between the valve stem / drum. Had the proper valve stems on the wheels as well, for a Hemtt.
Agree they'd work on the RBU if the drums are smaller. Considered that, but the problem becomes a difference in overall diameter between the tires on the FPU / RBU...
They don't fit...
So I tried this out a few weeks back, and Hemtt rims do not fit on the Mk48, not even close. Major interference with the valve stem, you'd have to grind a significant amount of material off the drums, to cluster-**** it on there. Decided it's better to just deal with finding...
Well my electrical parts cleaner finally came! I'll be cleaning the connections later some time next week I hope. Will check the Hz an the same time.
Had a question in the meantime though, Is it possible to parallel 2 sets of different KW output? Say a 805b and a 806b for 90 kw? Or only sets...
How are you checking compression? If your utilizing the decompression lever while pull starting the engine, the indicated compression could be lower than your actual to allow the pull start. Maybe try connecting a slave cable and e-start before you tear down the motor... just to be certain.
