I'd suggest looking on craigslist. The guy i bought mine from had 3 more just like it. And fortunately, he was in the middle of a turbo conversion so i got plenty of tips on what to do.
I've been thinking about an electric fuel pump, will save me from going under the truck every time to purge the system. How have you guys wired these - always on when the ignition is on, or put a toggle switch in to use when you are priming/starting?
wallew - I definately have fuel draining...
southdave - what was the part number on the fuel filter you bought? I don't imagine it has any hookup for the fuel/water separator which isn't a big deal, but it looks like it can be primed at the filter?
Here is the website - the company drop ships them from Wix Filters

I have the same problem with fuel bleeding back to the tank on my M1031. Is there a check valve on the fuel supply line as well as the return line?
If nothing else, I've seen the AutoZone spin on filters for $65...
There is a small o-ring on the fuel filter base. It is attached to the "water in fuel" sensor. Check that for cracks. I saw a post a few months ago so I decided to take a look at mine and sure enough, cracked. Also, replace the fuel pump. I am still having the same issues though.
Has anyone...
Has anyone seen replacements for the 5x7" halogen headlights? I am looking to update to a set of 24V LEDs but can't seem to locate any online but the 7" round style on Truck-Lite.
Truck is an 86 K30 - 24V
Thanks
Did some digging and found some good information that I am going to try. Maybe it will help others dealing with the same issue.
"Kinda old....82. A lot of time on stuff.
I have worked on these for years, and have a very specific question. Is this problem only the first start of the day, and...
I am still having issues with air getting in the lines. The easiest way that I found to push the air out is to put an air nozzle on the breather tube coming from the tank and then have someone else crack the fitting on the top of the filter. Once the air is out and you have a steady stream of...
I found a block on the firewall that converts 24v to 12v (12VCONT) for the lights, horns, etc...figured I would just put an in-line fuse off the positive terminal and I should be set. I looked for a fuse block but couldn't find one that was "weather proof" - or atleast one that was suitable for...
Im not up to speed on the military classification but its a K30 with a utility box on the back. I've heard them referred to as "contact maintenance vehicles".
Still has the 24v starting system on it...
I am looking to put a stereo in my D30 - did you install a 24v - 12v stepdown? or wire directly to batt #1 (12V)?
On another thread I saw that someone bought a fuse block from autozone to tap into the 12v converter block on the firewall.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
I have been having trouble starting my 6.2 lately. The truck will start up fine and run for about 5 sec and then shut off. I can crank and crank the engine but it will not start.
I put air on the tank thru the breather tube until fuel comes out the top of the filter, and then close the...
Paul -
I recently purchased a D30 from a dealership in GA, with a valid title. I went to the local DMV office and was redirected to Madison. The DMV in Madison had all my information for about 2 weeks and then called to tell me that I can not register this vehicle in WI because it was built to...
