Thank you all for the input,i will do a step by step with picture's,also i had planned on having the transmission rebuilt with all the upgrades. I have not put alot of thought about a shifter or take the colom from the donor vehicle,any idea's about aftermarket shifter's? thank's again.

I'm wanting to put a aod transmission in my m1008,i have access to a 1982 suburban with a 6.2dsl, 700r4 and a np208 ,my queston is,can i take the trans/transf from the subuurban and put it in my m1008,i know i need the detent cable and brace,also the flywheel,and dipstick and tube,will this work?
