    Murphy's oil soap is vegetable oil based and will not damage rubber. Heavy duty tire guys use it.Petroleum based products will ruin rubber

    I would be willing to bet that that 22gpm is freeflow capacity and that a sound engine uses a percentage of that capacity. In designing an oil system you would want flow capacity to exceed the amount needed to lube the engine.

    what year is my truck?

    You are right about air force I got it at MacDill AFB a few years ago. When I got the SF97 they sent it as "year unknown" but I had them change it to 1982. I never could find any numbers on the frame. I am thinking of getting it legal soon and I want the right year on the title. Thanks, Paul

    Check valve for oil filters?

    I think having oil pressure as quickly as possible would be the best thing you could do for any engine. I just did a calculation and figured out that a 6 cylinder 4 cycle engine would have 318.75 power strokes in 15 seconds at 850 rpms. I have worked on engines for 30 years and have never seen...
