While this is true, I have to believe that GL is doing it to make more money. The higher the winning bid, the more money they make. So it makes sense that they will do anything in their power to increase the total bid. Keeping the auction open past the official closing time is a great way for...
I wouldn't bob it, and I wouldn't even put a bed on it. To do either would do injustice to its original purpose. You would never come close to its intended weight limits if you put a bed on it. It is designed to tow the BIG stuff!
Wow! Having never seen one in person, you really don't understand how big it is until you see it next to other objects for scale. It dwarfs those other cars! You know it is huge when the front fender is almost as tall as the main section gas pump and the roof is taller than the gas pump housing!
I hope everyone has a hard top. Putting locks on a duece with soft top is just asking to have the roof sliced open. Same thing with a convertible - you should never lock a convertible unless you want your roof slit one day.
Our local area had a fleet of three old war birds a few weeks ago. A B-17, B-24 and a P51. Unfortunately it was raining much of the time, so I didn't take the family out to see them.

I have just read this thread for the first time. Let me add to everyone's comments about this refurb being incredible. This truck is going to be nicer than it was...
Newbee question here. If the truck requires a commercial tag in SC, does that mean you must have a CDL to drive it? Or is there still some exception these trucks have that would allow someone to drive a deuce (bobbed or not) with a regular driver's license?
Thanks,
Brian
I'm a newbee here without any previous MV experience. But I'm in the Greenville area. I'd love to pick up a M35A2 one day to start my collection.... :)
Old thread, but the first time I had seen these videos. It really looks like the trucks are going over in the first video. I wonder how much the water flow was actually helping the trucks stay upright?
