How well build are these CUCV's.

And THIS part is quite expensive. Any places have them for cheaper than $1100, other than Autozone? Trying to buy one now just got tougher, just this part alone and trying to convince the wife it's s good buy, when parts cost this much!:-(

How well build are these CUCV's.

If anyone is in or near Highland Park, IL you should check out this place: Motorsource, Inc. - Serving Highland Park, IL They have 3 CUCV's for $4250. They appear to be in decent shape too, the most mileage being 65k. Heck, I would fly out and drive one back if I could. BTW: The dealer is...

This is all great info guys! Great info!! Since I own a 1970 Cougar I KNOW about the "doing stuff on your own" thing. About the only thing I won't do (physically unable to do) is stuff like suspension (front springs, control arms, etc...) but leaf springs shouldn't be a problem and I've done...

    New but not....YET?

Something else I just remembered...Why the '55 mph max' on the speed limit?

    New but not....YET?

HEH!! I'd REALLY consider getting one JUST for the mpg!! I currently own a 2003 Crown Vic P71. I'm putting 9 gallons in it about every 5 days or so. 28 mile round trip to work, misc travels during the day add up to another 5-10 miles. For a V-8 that's d**n good! Now, I've done a bit more...

    New but not....YET?

I am considering purchasing a M1009 so, I don't have one yet. I'll be searching and lurking around here before I make any decision since THIS seems to be the place for info!! Anyways, with what info I've found so far I have some questions: 1) Banks Turbo Kit for the 6.2: I thought only...
