We have been using four M1009's for security vehicles. They work great (no one has figured out how one was speared by a forklift through the front bumper into the engine but that is another story) and have a perfect home. Here is one in which the engine went....everyone wondered why I took that...
I wish I could say the same. No response on the thread reply (which other members were kind enough to recommend alternate approaches and thanks very much again), no response to two PM's and no return phone call. Unfortunately on the Sparta move for the two 916's that was not my experience. Maybe...
Thanks Butch. I have wanted one for a while to make into an off roader however this one is way too nice. I don't even want to dig a hole with it and will likely sell it. It went on the high side but having driven it this morning I can see why, it starts right up and is showroom clean. Putting a...
:-D Need to move two 916's from Sparta to 08030. Tractors are in good shape. They could be driven but ideally on single drops. I have 105's and bolster trailers, a M35A3 and other things I would be willing to trade if someone wanted to do a deal other than cash.
Picked up my first FLU-419 from New Castle. Clean as could be, remac'd in 2008 and all the tools. Will post pics other than GL once I get some taken. Thanks for all of the helpful posts and the TM's.
As they say about a blind squirrel....There is a tag in the photos that indicates an overhaul on 4/10 at 24 hours and there is 48 hours on the Hobbs. I am hoping that this indicates a clean machine, who knows maybe the blind squirrel did not find a nut. I am looking for a trailer that I...
My Mk48
Pending EUC Approval. This is what I am looking to couple to a variant. If a fifth wheel became available that would suit me very well. Looking at several alternatives and awaiting pricing, many thanks to the SS members for their helpful replies.
:)
They look like great vehicles. Always wanted to drive a benz... Thanks for the picture! Enjoy the LVS. I am waiting for my EUC approval for my front end.
Congrats to all. I am in the same boat. A friend is active duty USN. They gives the Marines a ride now and then. Maybe he can obtain one. If anyone has one it would be much appreciated.
The current Wajax/mk17's in CA are far away and beat up. I am looking for one of the variants on the east coast. Agree that the market is easier for the power units than the rear units. Otherwise might make up a pintle or mount to hook on an 872 from Mechanisburg. All help much appreciated.
:shock:My Mk48 front unit was a little more than 5k, well a lot more. But it was remac'd in 2010 and shows 48 hours. Now I need a rear end for it. Two Mk17 WAJAX now up in CA but they look beat and IT is a long way. Any ideas for a resource for a variant especially the Mk16 fifth wheel very welcome.
