What to do with a rusty CUCV...

Maybe it's an '83 - but it's definitely 1009. @Fitz - thanks for the note I will check out what he's done. Definitely some holes - the front floors were bad before I parked it, but they definitely got worse.

    Serious Snow Traversing/Removal

Dear maritimer, perhaps my M1009 is as tired as I feel at 8am...but it seems it is all she can do to go uphill in the snow/ice as-is...don't get me wrong, I love her to death, she's pushing 89...k-miles that is!) Since she doesn't seem to want to move much in 5" of lower MI muck...I'm concerned...

RE: I Do you guys mean maybe I destroyed the injection pump? I still haven't quite figured out why this guy chose to remove the mechanical pump and install an electric pump... I'm back!) New truck - new troubles, please help!

So, I really loved my other cucv and I have NO clue what got into me that made me sell it. I know it all happened really fast - and that I've regretted selling it since that fateful day back in April or so. That was a good truck - I put almost 40k miles on it in 5 months - no troubles...which...

RE: Re: RE: FUEL GELLING IN THE COLD?? Been meaning to thank you all for the advice on testing the glowplugs - I have always hated electricity - bodywork is my forte. Great...stuck in Fennville w/a no-start CUCV any suggestions

You know - I am mostly still suspicious of the fuel...see I left Saturday morning, and the weather was cold - and she started w/no problems...then I drove it til she was low on gas and filled up at the Meijers station in Plainwell (W-MI) and it hasn't been right since. I've heard that other...

Great...stuck in Fennville w/a no-start CUCV any suggestions

Thanks for all the good advice! Of course, by the time it all gets...

Great...stuck in Fennville w/a no-start CUCV any suggestions

You know, I've been looking for the past few weeks for a good block heater. I'd like to find the kind that circulates the coolant - but most of them just seem to sit there in the freeze plug... It was probably about zero or less last night, it's about 4F now... Any suggestions on where to find...
