That video makes me want to build the first competition deuce drifter! As far a the 5.9 cummins, just remember that Ford and GM both use them in medium duty trucks, that makes 6 speed and A/C swaps much easier.
I coasted in neutral down a mountain to 65mph (per GPS) , it drove straight as an arrow. It also had no problem slowing down. Mine does have tires from 2004-2005. I do not recommend this, but everyone already knows that I do crazy things. I would not have done it with some of the old tires that...
They were shipped over a month ago, I still have'nt seen them. I was told that they might have been shipped by sea, if so that can take a long time. I am sorry for the delay, I had no idea it could take this long.
I have seen several good running multifuels around here for $500- $700. You also said you had acess to a truck and lowboy. I guess it would depend on the desirability, ie: with winch, hardtop etc...
I have seen dead shorts burn wires into before the factory fusibile links burned. It may be due to the nature of a fusible link working somewhat like a time delay fuse.
I know it wasnt directed at me, but I use dawn dishsoap at approx 1:10 ratio. There used to be a special soap we used at the dealership, but I cant remember the name. It did not work appreciably better than dawn.
My A3 is great, it's only defect is two leaking wheel o-rings, CTIS works great. Regardless of other comments, my ctis WILL inflate the two leaking tires when they have 0psi. One has 0psi in a few hours and the other in approx. 48 hours. Cant the CTIS be reprogrammed to inflate the tires to 55psi?
