The front was locked in, but in Low 3 the tires were spinning too fast. I dropped down to Low 1 and it was just right to crawl out. This is a disturbed earth pile and not compacted well, so it is hard to get traction.
I had a similiar issue with idle dropping too low. Turned out to be previous operator had changed the length of the rod that connects to the gas pedal and it was too long (and binding below the pedal). It was beyond just adjusting with the screw adjuster so it took me a while to figure out that...
I have the double filter system shown above and it works great. I run the oil through a regular oil filter, then through these filters. Only difference is mine each have the clear centerfuge cup on the bottom so you can drain off the water.
I'm with MikeW, mine doesn't smoke much more than with straight diesel. I am running about 80% WMO, run through three filters in series and two water seperators.
Shovelmike, I hear ya and I agree. But the original poster was asking if they come stock on the generators or should he add one. For whatever reason on a civilian generator, you will almost never see power factor meter on a single phase generator, only a three phase generator. I think it is...
The key to the whole seperately derived system nomenclature is "are you switching the neutral when you transfer to the generator". If you do switch to an isolated generator neutral like coyote62ny just described, you have a seperately derived system. If you connect your generator neutral to your...
Mounted my Go Pro camera in the windshield. Sound isn't too great because the passenger window closed unexpectedly and was blowing air across the camera.
Mine is the same way, quiet when pumping, but sounds like a ping pong ball bouncing around when the tank is pressurized. Check valve of some kind maybe? I also noticed mine is lacking the filter completely. Anyone have a picture of what the filter looks like? Thanks
Propane or natural gas is commonly used in big diesel generators to conserve fuel and make the diesel tanks last longer. It is fairly expensive option though.
It was hard nasty rust. The bottom of the tank was rusted where water was sitting in there. It was only about a quarter full of fuel so the other three quarters were small chunks of rust on the sides just from moisture/condensation over a long period of time. I scrapped it best I could and...
