Well do I get "props" for it actually being in a movie as a prop!! sorry for the cra*%y pic but had to snap a pic from off youtube with my phone....didn't know how to capture a still frame....anyway if you look to the far right you will hopefully recognize MY truck, in the background....got paid...
Crushing cars.
New paint job.
Doing events for Veterans. My grand daughter getting to hear stories from a ww2 Veteran that asked if he could sit in our shade....."WELL YES SIR, WE WOULD BE HONORED" was our response.
I have had this truck for a long time and it has gone through a lot of...
Pushing snow with it.
The best reason to put a pintle on the front, so you can recover MORE green addiction!!
Even earning its keep around the house hauling dirt!
What are you going to be reverse engineering? Like has been said the FDC being bypassed is a great plus for these trucks. There is NO reason to ever put it back the way the government had it. It was used so the motor would have the same horsepower output regardless the fuel that was used. Now...
I build decks and can say without doubt...DO NOT use trex type stuff....that stuff HAS to be supported every foot, and even then if it gets a lot of sun it WILL bend like crazy!! set in the hot sun is actually how you get it to "soften" up a bit so you can make those pretty curves in fancy decks.
Well my first deuce had it mounted by the door...originally the way I got it off base, I did NOT like it there at all....even without the mono-pod it was a pain in the butt.
The second pic is not a very good one, I can get a new one tomorrow when it is light out again of it completed but this...
Well, personally I don't think so....If the motor is running the air compressor intake will also be trying to grab air from the air cleaner, so I doubt you can pull air backwards to the motor side
Of course all of this is dependent on how air tight everything is....more likely you will collapse...
Well too much has kept me from the summer rally...however I am going to make this, even if I just have to drive my regular truck there.
I really miss being at the rallies....
I don't know why I didn't take a bunch of pictures like I normally do....but anyway, I have a front mounted hitch that I installed and used that as a bottom mounting point...using the sides. The last pic if you can blow it up should show how I used a set of 5 Ton front d rings and welded those...
Yes, me personally. Just got rid of the whole thing about 1-2 months ago
I can check to see if I have any detailed pics to show you, otherwise I can pretty much walk you through what I did.
And Yes it was awesome!! and worked great mounted that way, kept the plow close enough on the...
These were all before its new paint job...On trailer at a Veterans day parade....my daughter having the time of her life ridding it to a touch a truck event....She is the one that gave it a new paint job!! By hand!!
Best I've had a deuce as the GPS said, was 69MPH...It was a very brief spurt...a couple seconds at best, and going down a slight hill(so pretty much no load strain to suck power)...the truck was right at the absolute redline max that would almost send parts flying and the truck had 395's on...
I know how you feel about the time...I've been telling myself I need to get my deuce back running, I'll start working on it this weekend....it's been just over 2 years I've been saying that!
And now that I'm back spending time on here again the bug is REALLY making me miss driving my truck.
I believe they are, I had 395's and a buddy had the 15.5's, I do know for sure they are the same size tire....Not 100% sure they had the same bead, but I do think so. I do know 100% that the 14.5's were a different bead and went with the A3 rims. Maybe another member that still uses those tires...
Don't get me wrong, 395's are possible and depending on what you are gonna do with the truck you might not notice it too bad...I drove mine everyday ALL the time for everything I did...I even drove it on the highway, great top speed on flat ground...a hill takes it out of the truck real...
