MEP-805a 3 Phase To Single Phase

I have a MEP-805a and recently bought a Square D NEMA N4X circuit breaker panel with 100 amp, 2 pole interior. The rating is 104 amps at 120/208 volts, 52 amps at 250/416 volts. But thats 3 phase. My understanding is I just need to use 2 of the 3 phase (legs) to get single phase (I know it's...

    MEP-805a Locking T-Handles

Hi, I'm interested in locking the doors on my MEP-805a. I was considering just using hasps and having them re-keyed to one key. But I was just curious if anyone ran across any locking t-handles for the MEP-8xx series? I ran across these...

    Generator prices

That's insane! Especially, since you're buying an unknown, as is and where is. The cheapest one is slightly less then I paid for an MEP-805a several months ago. It amazes me what the 002a/003a gensets go for. They aren't even the TQG version (800 series).

New to group and new to me MEP806. Need help

Did you flash the field? Have you confirmed there is no voltage at the courtesy receptacle?

    Howdy!

Ha! Yeah. I found something close that will work. But I'm going to have to change the rims was well to tubeless. The problem is on small rims is getting any kind of decent weight rating out of them for high speed tires. 10" rims seem to be the best size for the max tire weight capacity for...

High Speed 10 ply E Rated Tires?

I took them back yesterday. It wasn't a mistake. They wanted to sell me tires and they did. I guess they figured I wouldn't notice the max speed limit on the sidewall. I'm gonna change the rims to tubeless and go with something like Chief_919 posted. Smaller F rated tires on a 10" rim...

High Speed 10 ply E Rated Tires?

Has anyone found any small (6.50/7.50) 10 ply tires that are rated for high speed? High speed as in 35 to 55 mph. I've been trying to find replacement tires for my beat up Vietnam era military dolly. It use to be a power plant of some sort until someone gutted the generator and the sheet...

    Howdy!

Newish to the site. I actually joined some time ago, but it took a while until I was able acquire the equipment I was looking for. I'm putting together a portable military generator/communications tower, mounted on a Vietnam era dolly. My dad belongs to the local ECS and I plan on joining...

    looking for filter numbers

Kind of an old thread, but here is what I have for my MEP-805a. Along with some other cross-references. The filters should be the same for the MEP-806a as well. It appears the John Deere 4039T and 6059T both use the same filters. Oil Filter Element - Fram PH20/PH20A - Napa Gold 1243 -...

    Mystery Filter Fitting Adapter MEP-805a

Would would if I had them. There in lies the problem. Since I don't have the Weatherhead fitting, it appears to be a tee, with a hole large enough that a 3/8-16 bolt pass through it, at the tee top, with either a 1/4" or 3/8" npt threaded end for the Weatherhead fitting. The top of the tee...

    Mystery Filter Fitting Adapter MEP-805a

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't thought of contacting the generator manufacture. I'll take a look at that. Unfortunately, my id plate is missing, but these generators where only made by Libby or Fremont, so it really shouldn't matter which one I contact. Your right though. I'm probably...

    Mystery Filter Fitting Adapter MEP-805a

Hi there! 8) I recently acquired an MEP-805a. I've been able to get most of the missing parts for it, but there is one where the public nsn lookup appears to be incomplete. When I bought the gen set, all fluids and filters where gone. Unfortunately, who ever discarded the fuel filter...
