    Thanks- Yea i saw that too but doesn't make sense to replace the whole bushing/ bushing is fine it just the rubber gasket boot that is dry rotted... like I know my 2.5 ton truck had zipper boots and I replaced without replacing the bushing... I donno- hoping someone has had this happen to...

    oh yeah I had the tires spinning - I was playing and yes had them spinning long enough to have the drum move but like i said the drum just stopped... and didn't even spin a inch a minute. I had the truck throttled up with foot brake on and in neutral and the winch was tight and then nothing...

    Yes- I tried both neutral with brake applied and just the parking brake applied and in gear while going in reverse so the rpms are going... and still nothing. I had half the spool out... probably about 150 ish ft... I was thinking of doubling it up but wasn't in the mood to take the pulley...

    So just got an m1070…. Pictures didn’t show this as an issue till I got it home…. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a grease cover boot or do I need a whole new bushing etc? Bushing is tight but I imagine once I start driving it will become a problem. thanks in advance.

    I totally agree. Just curious how they did it! Not saying I am going to insure it as a camper. I already have a 45 ft camper. But its funny that people without a cdl with a camper can drive a 35000 earthquake on wheels and have air brakes etc... not even adding a trailer haha... For me...

    Thanks for the info- the quotes I got were with commercial insurance- its not possible as of yet to get "cheap" insurance for this truck- I have a m925a2 and its 300 for the year. but its the weight of the truck. hence it has to have commercial insurance. thx

    Thanks- No I don't have any tickets. Fully clean driving record for 20ish years. cdl for 10 years and no tickets either... never hurt to tell them- thanks for the info- max speed is funny on a truck like that. but i know I will get there and back hopefully
