I left out 125-150' of line so about half the spool was out. I mean i would have expected the winch would be awesome. I had a m35a2 and that winch had a sheer pin but it was strong and would break a sheer pin if it was too much. I will see what I can do with putting a gauge on the winch...
The winch works with a low load. Like I can drag my ram 1500 backwards with winch connected however when connected to a tree the winch kept humming and you could see the line shaking but no movement in the line or pulling of the truck forward. Is there a way to test a worn pump? Does this...
My m925a2 the winch seems weak... anything i should look at? It works and pulls in and goes out but then you would think that the winch would drag the truck on the ground with tires locked... Instead the winch just doesn't move. I was pulling a tree down with the winch but I had to back up...
is there any way to plug a computer up to this and check/manual override to engage the jake brake (test it)? I saw when I popped- the fuse lid that there is a "dig plug" or any recommendations for a computer that will not break the bank and work with Oshkosh?...
Thanks
I did check the breaker and it seemed good when tested. I also purchased a new breaker just incase and no difference. I mean the parking brake works but I will look this weekend and see if there is power to the switch. thanks for the input about the parking brake switch.
Thanks for the information....
on the truck it says "contains Refrigerant" when it was sold... i havn't looked too much into it because someone decided to hit me at 60mph... so now fixing parts on the truck and getting close to done... appreciate the insight and yes Jacobs brake. thx
Hi all- So I have a m1070. My exhaust brake is not kicking on. Anyone know where I should start with figuring out what my issue is? I flipped the switch which goes from low and high but there is no switch to turn off? I got the truck with 82 miles on it from auction and looks and starts...
Hi-how’s everything holding up with the new trans installed…. Any hickups or issues? Shift and drives fine/doesn’t get squirley with the rear steer? I think mine tops out at 44mph…. Maybe 46 going down a hill. Haha Thx. Update please.
Thanks- Yea i saw that too but doesn't make sense to replace the whole bushing/ bushing is fine it just the rubber gasket boot that is dry rotted...
like I know my 2.5 ton truck had zipper boots and I replaced without replacing the bushing... I donno- hoping someone has had this happen to...
oh yeah I had the tires spinning - I was playing and yes had them spinning long enough to have the drum move but like i said the drum just stopped... and didn't even spin a inch a minute. I had the truck throttled up with foot brake on and in neutral and the winch was tight and then nothing...
yeah I tried using the pintle on smaller trees and worked fine but wanted directional and constant pressure so when I cut the tree half way I could just pull it down "controlled"
also a rope of 150ft i don't have I need like 2" rope and I only have 1" ropes which is about 100ft +/-
I also...
Yes- I tried both neutral with brake applied and just the parking brake applied and in gear while going in reverse so the rpms are going... and still nothing.
I had half the spool out... probably about 150 ish ft... I was thinking of doubling it up but wasn't in the mood to take the pulley...
yes if the weather is nice out then I will try to do a few pics/videos. It seems everything works but has no "balls" when actually in use which I had a m35a2 and was awesome and had to buy extra sheer pins (haha).. I expected more out of my m925a2 and is defintily not the case. I checked...
