M1102 cracked drawbars at A frame

Too many rocks at one time in your crusher? Or was it one of your "slightly but neatly overloaded" firewood hauls

Mep803a wiring to home panel questions?

Depends if your trying to hook up a portable generator or installing a whole house standby generator system. My install was a 20 K Cummins standby with a 200 amp auto transfer switch. Expect to spend $900.00-$1,500.00 on the switch or $6,000.00 + on a complete system + installation extra. Check...

    M1009 lost all electrical power

I still think it was a bad battery. My M1009 acted the same way as your ride and had me buffaloed for days. I went through all the motions of checking everything electrical. I even disconnected and cleaned all the grounds and fuse holders with no joy. The battery and its connections was the...

    M1009 lost all electrical power

So the front battery must have ended up being bad?

    M1009 lost all electrical power

IMHO & IMPE If your front battery is bad as you stated, you should paus all other repairs in till you replace it. My M1009 acted the same way and it turned out to be a bad battery that had a few of the cells shorted. Low voltage can and most likely will destroy your starter relay under the dash...

    Polaris MV850

Sorry for your lose. I was still wondering how he got ahold of the MV850 in the first place. His actual comment when I questioned it was "I have a connection with an agency that allows me to get stuff like this" The government was not selling/surplusing them directly to the public back in...

    Lunette for M101a2, a3

Prices have gone way up on those shocks. I think I paid less than $40 back in 2011. But they work great, the brakes work so smooth that you forget the trailer is attached.

Mep803a wiring to home panel questions?

If you don't have an automictic transfer switch you must have an interlock of some sort in place. If not, there is a chance of a back-feed if you forget the process of shutting the main off and starting your generator. Or worse yet, someone else that is not familiar with the proper operational...

Mep803a wiring to home panel questions?

Don't be messing with your project if your not experienced or qualified to do the install. All it will take is a faulty installation with the potential of back-feeding your service entrance to the grid. Without the proper disconnect, you can end up killing a lineman working on the powerline...

Smells when you drive it? Maybe the PO used it for a toilet smell? Or is it more of a Fuel smell?

    MEP 803 buyer guide/video

I was looking at going down that same "rabbit hole" for my home back when the surplus 10K gen-sets were going for $300-$500 . What stopped me was the later gen-set auctions the prices were going for $3,000-$5,000 and the auto transfer option was rare and very expensive at the time. For $6,000...

Why replace the surge brakes? IMHO that is one of the best features on those trailers. A properly maintained surge brake system is fool proof and operates so smoothly you hardly realize that trailer is behind you. Just get a pintle hitch adapter for your tow vehicle and you will be well ahead...

    68 Unimog 404 Restomod

A good quality high temperature off the shelf spray paint in a rattle can is all you need. I use to paint my service trucks exhaust systems back in the day. It would hold up for a several years depending how many salty roads you travel. Rust-Oleum High Temperature Spray Paint or Krylon High...
