Yep. I love it. Its been running continuously for 4 days now. Powering my whole house....with hot water heater and oven. Cooked a chicken last night in the oven. I feel terribly decadent....most everybody in my neighborhood (Chester County, PA) has no power, or those little (5KW)...
the manuals for the 004a are correct (for the PU-794) except for the throttle regulation. As was mentioned earlier, its mostly a MEP004a. But the throttle control is different. Its not a manual throttle, and its not hydraulic. It has an extra electric box and a electric actuator to drive the...
I have one of those…..a PU-794. I am currently running my house with it. I converted it per the instructions from Sewerzuk (thanks again Dude). It has been running for 3 days, all it seems to want is diesel.
The PU 794G is basically a souped up MEP-004 on a trailer. A 004 is rated for 15 KW, the 794 for 20KW.
I have one. I could not find a specific manual for the 794, but as near as I can tell the differences are really minimal. The speed (frequency) regulation is electronic, not manual, or...

I have the oil and fuel filter numbers, and I got those from this excellent website.
Could one of you RKI's...
WOW......that is absolutely fantastic news! I had been planning on pulling my Voltage reg/exciter this weekend and doing some bench work on it....I did a little research, and found that the IC I was looking at is probably the Mil equivalent to a LM723; a pretty common voltage regulator...

Hi Sewerzuk....
I've been following this with HUGE interest. I was looking at doing this....either double delta or the low zigzag. Decided that it probably wasn't worth the risk of melting my PU794 down if I mucked it up.
In my travels to learn what I needed to do, I looked long and hard at...
