the other issue is assuming you can in a best case scenario fix the brakes, which is doubtful considering you dont know what parts you may need , etc..... you then are going to drive it 800 miles? did i get the plan right? cause that's a crazy plan in my opinion.

im going to be listing my bobbed deuce for sale on here as soon as i get some pics uploaded, but are there other online resources, other than ebay, that I am not aware of that enthusiasts list such items? i think a bobbed deuce sort of transcends the "purist" dedication to detail so are there...
THE DEUCE LIVES..... FOR NOW. Pulled the batteries tried to revive but the first wouldn't take or hold a charge so I pulled the trigger and replaced them both. Fired right up. Took a victory lap. Now she sits. So let's see what happens now.
Batteries are low.... Like 3V. When you turn on switches you get nothing...no buzzer, no pump, no air, not even the faintest glow of life in the lights.... Dead as dead comes. Which I don't get because I drove it a week ago & have the solar charger
So I'm driving and the gauge lights are not working, so I figure the bulbs are out..... Someone mentioned to me that it might be the accessory switch... Hmmm I'm gonna check it out.. So I go to start the Deuce.... And nothing. It's dead now.
Theory is accessory switch is gone so it stayed "on"...
