who do you recommend for rebuilding CUCV injection pumps?

Have you looked into B&D Fuel Injection in Fredericksburg? They quoted me at $550 for a rebuild of my IP. I have not checked lately to see what they might have in stock to do a 1 for 1 swap. I have heard nothing but great things from other diesel guys about the quality of their work.

    Xtra's for M1008 & M1009

Do they really have anything like a 1991 Suburban or Blazer in the Junk yards in NH? I have not been able to find anything in the late 80's to 91 Chevy or GMC in my local area yards in Maryland or in nearby Virginia. The few similar body styled specimens that I have come across are usually...

    M1009 or regular blazer?

Welcome to my dilemma, I have been acquiring all of the needed parts and tools to get my M1009 together and well my little girl was born in the middle of all of my other planning. Guess what is waiting a little longer at least until we get warmer weather up here as I work in a carport not a...

    M1009 Damage Assesment

This too is my first Diesel, after looking at things the Historic tags are the cheapest way to go. I just do not like the restrictions of Historic Tags. I am looking into if it is possible to retag it to normal tags after slapping Historic on it initially. Historic means no Inspection as...

    Venison recovery vehicle

Simple, add a little 3000 lb electric winch up front to hoist it up for you!

    M1009 Damage Assesment

How long do you think that it will take you to turn into your DD? How do you plan on tagging it? Historic or regular tags?

    New Southern CUCV projects....

Very nicely done. I might have to reach out to you in the near future. What version of Black did you use on the M1008 wheels and bumpers?

    Civilian Interior Install

What is your plan for the floors and walls? I ask as I am pondering of what to do with mine.

    Venison recovery vehicle

Very cool set up. How long did it take you to fab it and how many bodies does it take to mount/unmount it?

11/10/2012 - Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

I will try to make it up there before y'all roll out but I will probably miss breakfast. I have an audiology appointment at the VA in DC at 1000 on Saturday. Wait and see.

Capability vs. Vulnerability & Sophistication vs. Complexity

I think that so far this site is pretty balanced. My personal approach to things is to enjoy them, if that means to make it better in some way so be it. These trucks are not stock in a sense when we buy them so that lets me not feel bad that I am making changes to it to make it better in my...

    Newby with the fever

    government liquidation question

Go to GL and read the Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of the home page. If you still have questions they do have a 800 number to call and their live chat really is a live chat with a person at GL. Use it and you will be saved from asking questions here that GL can better answer.

Capability vs. Vulnerability & Sophistication vs. Complexity

A new aftermarket balancer is available for @ $80.00. This is my first Diesel but not my first toy. Just my personal approach but for things like balancers I always buy new. Just my 2cents

    No Longer a Lurk

One step closer - it only took GL 26 days to get the SF97 and title work to me!!!!! Soon I will be off to the MVA to get Historic tags for my M1009. :-)

Capability vs. Vulnerability & Sophistication vs. Complexity

In regards to my M1009, I am keeping the truck true to its soul of a MV. However, I am going to alter the truck to make it more to my desires or the liking of my wife to a degree (to spend time with her and my truck). All of my plans are simple but purposeful. My personal balance is to keep...
