Consider changing hoses, flushing block, heater core, etc. Hose sets are on popular auction site or distributors. Take time to do it right. Most costly repair if let go.
H20 pump has a weep hole (drips) when bearings have or are close to failure. V Belts = H20 Pump for 6.2 engine only. A civilian one will work. Use rock auto or local auto parts cross reference for 1985 6.2 diesel with J engine code.
Some use gasket, some may not. look while disassembling yours.
No. Different rotation, different mounting hole pattern (uses three tightly grouped bolts), different engine mounting Bracket, different pulley, different pressure lines. You could retrofit the reservoir.
Functional Half doors were on some models. They do appear on a popular auction website. Functional front doors are more difficult. Some have taken X doors and cut them down.

Aluminum turn signals also use a long neck or shoulder screw with a small thread base. As more people buy LED turn signals some retrofit may be required.
The pump assembly was revised a couple times. The element (pump) is available as a kit from Napa & others. The housing, tank or reservoir will need to be reused since it is specific to M998.
The 1st generation (oval) master cylinder is becoming hard to find. Booster has black studs. If you decide to change over the the rectangular master cylinder & booster with blue studs, you'll need to change a couple brake lines too. The master cylinders have ports on opposite sides.
Ball joints are either upper or lower. Revised several times one will need to know the bolt size since control arms were revised also. Napa has some with replacement bolts.
Might be good to check manual for your intended mounting location. Then run part number and national stock number on ebay and other military surplus web places.
