I know this is an old post, but too would love a basic idea of how this is set up. Basic securing of the truck from mischief is my main concern.

I pulled the knob and verified it with a bolt and then a tap to chase the threads, I'll use a die to clean up the ones on the shaft before installing the new knob and share pics... and at least on the 1970 Kaiser Deuce and a half it's a 3/8-24 (fine thread)
