M135 on blocks. I've put the project on ice. I have two M105 trailers that I pull one in parades, inside Southern Door County. I also have a M104 trailer that goes along with my M135. It would be nice to see a MVPA event or gathering in the Northeast area.
I've got my M135 laid up in my free stall barn up on jacks. The steel brake lines are real fun trying to figure out how to make the correct bends. Haven't touched it all that much this summer. I need to get back on it I guess.
I picked up two 20" rims from a tire shop near by on Thursday, and one is 20x7.5 and the other one is 20x7.25. the 7.5 rim is dated 7-52 while the 7.25 is dated 11-62. Is the 20.7.5 for the 11.00x20 tire. It's stamped with 12.00 tire max. I'm guessing that the 20x7.25 is for the 9.00x20 tire...
I'm up here in Door County about 7 minutes north of Dykesville. We have quit a few guys with military vehicles. I'm restoring a 52 M135 Duece and a 51 M104 trailer. I also have a 53 M104 Trailer that the Army converted it over to a M105A1 and a M105A3. We have a number of guys with MV up here...
I have these straps, I was told they were for the back pack that holds ammo cans. But, if I can use it for my jerry can on my M135. How did you run it? Thnks,
Brake Lines
I moved my truck from the machine shed and put it into my free stall barn over the winter. However, the truck died before I could drive it in. I had to use a some boards and my tractor to push it in. I'm replacing some of the steel brake lines and I'm having a difficult time bending...
The American Legion Post 372 is putting together a Flag Day Parade, scheduled for Saturday, June 14th. We are looking to have as many Military Vehicles as possible. We are trying to turn this into a big event. We have put it on for the last two years and we are trying to grow it. If your...
Frame to Axle Line Verification
The line on the left uses a 3/4" wrench and the line on the right uses a 5/8" wrench. The lines are frame to axle. I was told that the one on the left is the vent line. Just wondering if there is a p/n: for this. Can the brake line be used in its place?
I'm in need of a wiring harness for this trailer. A friend has a newer version of the harness, if I have to, I'll convert it over to the new one. My little voice is telling me to put the newer harness on. I think in the long run it'll be better off. The harness on it had a male plug fixed to a...
I ordered some frame to axle brake lines from memphis equipment and just looked at my truck and found out that there are two different size line fittings on the axle. Man, what a shock. Does any one have a p/n for the larger size. The smaller one uses a 5/8" wrench and the larger one uses a...
Lets put together a Spreed Sheet with all the cross over parts info. This will help in keeping these old trucks on the road and out of the scrap heeps.
