M813rc, I believe they are called M1022 dolly set mobilizers but I could be mistaken. There are several threads about the M1022 on here, but there also seems to be a bunch of different dolly set mobilizers for different size/weight shelters. I didn't find any that had a model number of 741...
Red, Thanks for documenting your adventure and posting pics of your progress. I may have missed it, (if so I apologize), but whats your plans for the camper build? Are you going to build from scratch or mount a camper shell in the bed? Keep up the good work!
I keep my deuce parked at the Greatest Generation Aircraft Museum at Meacham Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. There are several of us that keep our military vehicles parked there, (they only charge us $20 a month for storage fees). This satellite pic shows my deuce parked next to a friends in the...
Where to start.... I think my favorite upgrade would have to be the 395's (including the adapter plates from Peashooter). But I've done so much to my truck since buying it off a ranch 60 miles south of San Antonio, it's hard to pick just one.
Here's some picture of what it looked like when I...
Sounds like you had a fairly good recovery, with just a few slight hiccups!
I'm not a 5-Ton mechanic, but I'm sure the answer to your problems can be found with a search of the 5-Ton Forums.
Congrat's again on the new purchase and safe recovery!
I really think there are two things to look at. First, whether or not you have electricity where you park your vehicle, and second, if you're going to need extra power drops for your vehicle. If you're strictly using it to keep the batteries charged, having a battery tender would probably be...
One more thing, I believe Fuzzy Toaster said it, but you can operate the 5-Ton with only two batteries. Here is the wiring diagram for both the 4 battery and 2 battery set up.
2nDefense,
You wrote that the batteries were low, only allowing for weak buzzer and fuel gauge to power on. If the charger doesn't work, and you end up replacing the batteries, make sure to check the height of the new batteries, and verify they do not touch the underside of the seat. If the...
That is American ingenuity at it's finest!
You may have covered this in your other thread, but I didn't see it so here goes, I see you have ribs down the center of the belt going around the rear tires. Is that to keep the belt tracking between the dual tires or is there a drive gear...
Wolfblade,
Welcome to the addiction! There are quite a few inflicted souls here in the Metroplex that suffer from the same green steel addiction. We have a club that meets the 2nd Saturday of each month in North Richland Hills. If you're interested in coming out, send me a message and I'll...
We take anybody! ;-) We are not the MVPA, we like to USE our trucks and aren't worried about what they look like. This is the slow time of year for us. The Veterans Day parade was our last official club event of the year. I'll private message you with info on the next meeting!
Caliber1 sells the same locking handles here on Steel Soldiers - in the parts classified section. I've purchased a set from him in the past, they come primed, ready for paint, and were keyed the same (with 4 keys). He sells them for $50 a pair and he ships them for $6.
Thanks, I've got to get with the website designer and have him do some changing to it. Along with the color of the font, the font size is too small too. I can't figure out how to change it, so I'll get him to address the issue. I hope to have the glitches fixed in the next week or so.
The Military Vehicle Club of North Texas is proud to announce the completion of the new club website.
The website address for the club is www.mvcntx.com Stop by and check out the new website.
We will be holding a monthly club meeting this coming Saturday, Sept 21, 2013 at the Taco Cabana...
The Military Vehicle Club of North Texas (MVCNTX) had our monthly club meeting this morning. We had 10 club members present, including a new member and 6 vehicles present. It was a great turnout and a lot of good things happened, including voting in a new club secretary. Here are some pics of...
