    Window Regulator Clip Removal

I always just use a small screwdriver to push up the tab in the middle of them and they pop right off, same when putting them back in. I ended up with two extra to save that I found laying loose in the bottom of my doors.. ;)

    Pilot bearing

Well I got a 52mmOD x 25mmID bearing, and a 25mm x 18mm bushing, I'll just press the bushing intot he bearing and use a reamer to get get it within .002 of the input shaft.

    Pilot bearing

Hmm.. Well I have a 52mm flywheel bore, and I have a 19.05mm ID or 0.75"bearing from another flywheel that has a 25.4mm OD or 1", its an SCE 1212 bearing. Seems to fit the input ok if a touch loose. Dunno exactly how tight you want to have a pilot bearing I also found a 52mm OD x 25mm ID...

    Pilot bearing

Does anyone have a cross reference or part number for a duece and half pilot bearing or bushing? Preferrably a bearing. I need one to fit a spicer 3053 trans.. Searched and found nothing... Thanks.

    Winch

The no shipping deal would kill it for me, your limiting yourself to folks within a couple hours drive doing that. I see quite a few things I might buy but I usually look no further once I see the local pickup only. I would likely pay $1000 for a good winch + PTO easily, if I didnt have a...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

Cool, it's a small world. I read over at M715 you lived down there and worked for TYC, my sister and brother in law live there between the parks as well, out off of old antioch road. Years ago he worked for some sort of camp I believe was under TYC there off park road 1 somewhere with some very...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

That's neat gringel, I'll have to have another look through some catalogs I think. BTW Barrman, My folks live close to you down in Smithville off park road 1 between Bastrop and Beuscher state parks, if you see an OD M-37 rattling around down there with a 4bt later this spring, that'll be...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

Ok, that makes sense. From what I can see that's an outside snap ring flange, takes a 1410 u-joint stock on the M35. And if it'll bolt right up on the spicer 3053a and clear the tail shaft nut I'm golden. So that and then using the 1310 to 1410 conversion u-joint I found is a sure thing...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

I had thought about it, but I never even checked it out because I assumed the M35 shaft would be too big... Your saying the transmission end is just the stock M35 inter axle shaft, and it slips right into the stock M37 slip yoke? Sweet deal if it does, I'll just call Boyce or someone and snag...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

There is no transmission mount on the M-37. The engine mounts up front, and the rear engine mounts are wings off the side of the bell housing. The transmission is supported by just the bell housing. I'll be doing the same with the 4bt, and making side mounts off the SAE flywheel housing. My...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

That's my backup plan, a 3/4" steel disk adapter that both flanges bolt to. I've seen it done before. Ok since we know that the 1310 flange needs a spacer I think I'll try the 1410 flange and the 1410>1310 conversion ujoint first though. It might have a chance at clearing the nut on the tail...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

Did a little searching around and cross referencing... If I have this right the duece uses a 1410 retainer plate style ujoint on the front of the intermediate shaft, and the M-37 uses a 1310 inside snap ring ujoint. A quick hunt shows a neapco #2-3190 is a 1410 outside snap ring to 1310 inside...

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

So if I have this right a duece flange off the spicer would take a 1410 and the M-37 shaft is a 1310. Wonder if a conversion u-joint is possible for that combo? Or a 1410 flange for an NP200, I could use a duece shaft and shorten it? How long is a duece's intermediate shaft?

    Spicer 3053a in an M-37

I find myself in need to pick some grizzled brains... I'm putting a spicer 3053 behind a 4bt cummins in my M-37 so I'm going to have to attach a spicer 3053a to the NP200 transfer case.. The current intermediate shaft is about the right length, the distance is only about an inch less with the...

    M-37 top question.

The power steering was there and worked, but it about the worst scabbed on box I think I've ever seen, had to grind the welded plate off the frame and the steering column was butchered, cut too short, and the wheel was so tight to the dash and tilted so far it couldn't stay. The power brakes...

    M-37 top question.

Yep I did. It actually has no rust really, besides a little from a battery acid under the passenger seat. There's one hole eaten through from that at the back cab corner. It was a little beaten up from 4 wheeling in the desert I guess.

    M-37 top question.

It's not that big of a deal just yet. I have a way to go before I really need the top on. I'm on the downhill run on a frame off rebuild.. With a way to go yet. I have a cummins 4bt showing up Monday so I'll be busy getting that installed for a while. Thread here...

    M-37 top question.

I'm getting close to getting my frame off rebuild/repower on my '53 M37 done, and I have a question.. I'm trying to get the canvas top hardware all together and installed. The truck didn't come with any bolts holding the supports in behind the door. I got new canvas top bows and I got a pair of...

    REMOVING UNDERCOATING

If the undercoating is hard, as in not soft and gooey, a needle scaler will knock it off pretty easily.
