You can buy inner and outer rockers for both sides for about $60 from LMC Truck or JC Whitney. Slipcovers are even less. Paint's easy enough to match up on most of these trucks. I bought my ex-USAF Suburban with one rotty rocker area and it didn't scare me any.. then again the ex-school bus...
Is there any resource for those of us with former Air Force vehicles to get a history? I would imagine you can run a Carfax on them, but can't imagine it tells you much - anyone tried it before?

each state DMV differs in their requirements for registering non-titled vehciles. Some you can do a bonded title, some a salvage title, some it's virtually impossible. Pretty much a queston for your state department of motor vehicles -
Out of curiousity, would it be possible to determine the history through the VIN on a former USAF vehicle? Sort of a cousin to the CUCV I suppose, a 1985 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 6.2. Has several special order RPO codes (for paint, delivery) and a VIN character I can't decode (3rd char = 8 ) but...
