I have an '85 M1009, and for some time now there has been a grinding/vibrating noise coming from the rear of the transmission, I believe the transfer case specifically, when it's in 2H. Typically it happens when you're going down the road and hit a bump or something and then the grinding starts...
Aside from a snorkel is there anything else you really need to do to the engine/tranny/etc to water proof them before a M1009 is ready to go water fording?
