i had a bad solenoid earlier, it is pretty easy to test them with a multimeter and the TM.

EdMontana, I have FINALLY found a solution to my red light of death issue. I will describe what my unit was doing and then the solution for future readers. I have correct fuel pressure, can see flame through the sight window, but the red light and buzzer come on after 10-15 seconds after...

Are you getting fuel pressure? there is a pretty quick and simple test for the two solenoids with a multimeter. you won’t get fuel to the injector if they’re not functional.

thank you. Mine started giving me the red light of frustration yesterday after getting the shop up to 60 and cycling off. I’m revisiting this topic and trying to trouble shoot. I’m following the steps in TM 5-4520-256-14. I have the correct fuel pressures, flame in the sight glass and get the...

Those of you who use these units a fair bit, where do you like keep your discharge and return air temp settings?

MEP-003A"Reconnection Switch" and Large Transformer (I Think)

Thanks, gents. I had 2 reconnect switches stuck in the 3 phase position. It took me the afternoon to do, but they’re both back in single phase 120/220. For those of you who are visual learners like me, I’ve got a few pictures. I ended up disconnecting the fuel lines and straps from the fuel...

I didn’t have the Correct TM for the parts numbers. I looked at the plate, as you recommended, and found the number of the one I needed. I’ve found the part number and have the part on the way. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

if you know the TM number for the one which shows the parts number, that would be fantastic.

Where do I find the part number for the S1 solenoid? It tests bad and would explain why I can’t make any pressure. I’d like to get a replacement found and on the way. Thanks!

I just came to the house to warm up after dumping the fuel tank. You’ve been a great help answering questions for folks on this heater and I wanted to share what I’ve learned about removing the tank. The hard suction hose and the 90 degree brass elbow which goes down to the tank need to be...

Its cold outside lets talk Heaters, H81, H82, H83, etc.

I did blow back through the fuel line into the tank, twice. It cleared the line and it was able build pressure and ran for awhile, then eventually lost pressure entirely. My assumption is that fuel is returning back to the tank when that second solenoid opens and is stirring everything in my...

Its cold outside lets talk Heaters, H81, H82, H83, etc.

Has anyone separated one of these units to get the fuel tank out? I’ve read over the process in the TM but it doesn’t say anything about removing the suction or return fuel lines from the tank. Im not building fuel pressure and when I loosened the suction side line at the pump it was under...

Needing help with my H82 heater

thank you. I‘m around 500 feet so after reading the Tech manual on fuel pressure by altitude I didn’t pay much attention to adjusting fuel pressure down on my unit. I’ll do as you suggested, I do notice excess fuel burning at the exhaust. yesterday I lost all fuel pressure. Today I’ll...

Needing help with my H82 heater

thank you. 120 looks like the correct pressure for my elevation and it has been running for years at that setting. Should I still adjust it down to 80-90?
