I had something similar happen to me with a 900 series wrecker. It was new to me and seemed to run fine for a couple months. Shut it down and it wouldn't start. We played around with the pump and supply end of it for quite sometime before looking further down the line to find it was plugged...
Screw it in clockwise. For this particular issue I found it was plugged injector screens. I had to pull all the injectors, remove and clean the screens and reinstall them. After the first one it ran on one cylinder.
If your looking for basic install how to Try Etrailer.com. They have quite a few how to videos. I used some information from them for mine on a 76 chevy. They had a video on installing one in an older chevy.

I found a supplier from another thread. They do not have the originals which were manufactured by Evans but have a different manufacturer they said will work with no mods for between $40 and $65 depending on the probe length. Does anyone know the probe length? I have not had time to check it...
