start on my caliper brackets. 3/8 plate.

going to use ceramic Kevlar pads in the front, and regular Kevlar in the back.

280mm = a hair over 11". my rotors are 13.25" in diameter. for an 11" rotor I would use brembos for a Porsche boxster or similar.

I will be using 4 front calipers but will be one mounted per wheel.

tim, there are several options. what diameter and width rotors will you be using? I have four pistons, six pistons, and eight piston calipers available. be forewarned they get pricey since they are brembos. a typical brembo 4 piston caliper axial mount caliper used is around 175.00 each, and...

um... do you need radial mount or axial mount?

also besides the 53" Michelins I also have a set of 66" monster truck tires and wheels I could put on it. but if I do that I want to change the steering to dual rams with an orbital box.

hello all, I am in piedmont Oklahoma. I have had several military based vehicles over the years. now I have a Chevrolet Kodiak medium duty truck with a dually pick up bed on it and 5ton rockwells under it. it has a 496bbc, Allison automatic, and a beefed 205 tcase with 1480 outputs.

to be more specific... I build Porsche specialty race cars. I have a shop with a full blown machine shop.

my primary business is porsches. I have 5 or 6 sets of 4.

I actually checked out a deuce tcase in the beginning. it wasn't any larger or beefier than the 205. they are actually very similar architecture.

that's why I posted my build here, the wealth of knowledge here is incredible and I knew you guys would steer me in the right direction. thank you.

good to know, thank you for the heads up guys. the rotors I chose are wilwood 1605864 and Porsche brembo 4 piston calipers. with Kevlar pads. in preliminary measurements the wilwoods will also fit at the wheel hubs and I could also make caliper brackets out on the ends instead of the middle...

ill take more pics tomorrow guys. future plans for the truck is nice pinion disc brakes. then paint and body. then custom fabbed front and rear steel bumpers with 15000lb winch. a snorkel, and some other minor mods. I live in a rural community and will drive it often.

and no im not building a mud truck

m16, I have not had any issues yet. ill keep you posted tho. lots of mud guys run 5ton axles with 205's.
