    Mule with alternator and water

I have encountered deep water that I later realized put the alt. under water. No problems, it still works great. If you stop to think about it, when you drive your car or truck in a heavy rain storm the fan is blowing water directly on the alt. with no adverse effects. They are quite water friendly.

    Tread of Mule

My mule with the standard tires (not the wide tires and fenders) is 49 inches, so you need at lthe very least 50 inches.

    Need Mule Experts HELP

You didn't mention the asking price, but that would be a big consiceration. If all the parts are there it might be worth 2-3K. But take into consideration that the deck is magniesium and would probably be expensive to weld up that hole. Also the deck looks quite pitted, would require a lot of...

    Brand new (to me) mule

From the pics it looks like the center shroud is missing from the engine. If you don't have it, DO NOT run the engine without it! They are hard to come by and expensive, but running the engine without it will quickly over heat the left cylinder. You can test run the engine if you use a house...

    Oil pressure too high??

A wet rifle bore brush to clean the passage out good and you should be good to go!

    Oil pressure too high??

Here is a thought, It appears the valve is hollow. If you take a steel rod that will fit inside of it, heat the rod and put it in the valve, it might melt the oil varnish enough to free the valve.

    Oil pressure too high??

Thanks for the visual, Charlie, Never seen one before, I was going by guess as to what they may look like.

    Oil pressure too high??

Again, I am not familier with the layout of the oil passeges, but if you have the oil pump gears off and can locate the passege to the valve, use your solvent on both sides of the valve. If you have access to an air compressor and rubber tipped air gun put pressure in the oil passage and with a...

    Oil pressure too high??

I have never seen what the valve looks like so I may be off base here. If worse came to worse and it were mine, I would check with Bill Watson or David Kelone and see if they might have a replaement valve. If so, then do what ever it takes to get the old one out, Drill it, tap it and use a pller...

    Oil pressure too high??

could be a problem with the oil pressure regulator valve. Remove left shroud and look for the hex bolt by the oil lines. Remove and clean and check for damage to plug, spring and valve.

    treechopper for M274 mule?

Now that the thread has been hijacked, to get it back on track. The tree cutter seems like a good idea for a limited use, but even on a quad I can see trips over the handle bars and suspention and frame damage is quite possible. The vedio only shows small pines which even a hand held...

    treechopper for M274 mule?

Every other faith celebrates their religious holidays by their correct name as they should, and I respect that. Why is it that only the christian celebration of Christmas is offensive?

    treechopper for M274 mule?

I would never attach this to my mule. I once broke the outer aluminum axle housing when I clipped a stump at a slow speed. with the rigid axles there is no suspention give to take up the shock.

    Farm Fresh A5

A big thanks to combst32 for the information on the wix fuel filter! It adapts very well to the mule system. Rather than shorten the fuel tube by 5/16 inch I cut a 2X3/16 inch steel ring to make up for the shorter filter. I put it in today and it works fine.
