What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Good point, next time there is a problem, ill be checking the ignition switch. I thought it was funny that the small wire was connected to the larger wire. :-? And as for the starter, it is a new rebuild with only a handful of starts from the old configuration, so not too worried.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Right, the relay has no affect on the condition of the starter. I did have the starter rebuilt recently to try and stop it from sounding like crap, but to no avail. profile updated. Also, turns out that the relay is gone and has been replaced by a jumper. Dirty plugs on the jumper seem to be the culprit and now the vehicle turns over without accelerator movement. Thanks again to Recovery for the direction. Pat

Awesome, I was hoping the pedal and starter were unrelated as the wiring diagram showed one thing and my experience with the vehicle suggested another. I am the 4th owner of the vehicle, military being the first, and have not inspected the starter relay yet, but am now suspecting it more. Batts...

    Another no start thread.......

Ive used the search feature without finding these symptoms, and now have looked at the tms without much further understanding of the problem. I have an m1009 with starting problems. Initially I had to use the cold start procedure to start it up every time. Always push the accelerator to the...
