    My OT-64

Here's mine with the new owner, the dry clutch can be seen and described in action.

    My OT-64

Just to bring this one fully to close. During my ownership of my particular OT-64, which is now owned by another member here, did indeed have a dry clutch. It was visible between the engine and the transmission input. It could have had a fluid coupling somewhere, but my machine didn't seem to...

    M1084 crane hydraulic troubleshooting

Bringing this one back up, mine is work across the board except for the retract function on the boom. With it in the retract position I think I can here a little bit of bypass, happening but it acts more like there's no pressure moving to the boom. I can retract it by reeling in the cable and...

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

That Mowag Roland is fantastic! How is it to drive? I've got a Shorland that the previous owner did in all black. I'm thinking of do it in Berlin Brigade as well, I'm fairly sure it was never in Berlin, but why not!

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

Quick update, tag and titled the BRDM and ran out for gas. Good times were had by all. Top speed of approximately 40 MPH were reached. I've been able to retract the missle system, but getting it to run back out under power won't work. I've got a limit switch somewhere in the wrong position or...

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

Got the brake tee in yesterday, and I think back together. The brake lines were M12x1.0 oddly enough, and the rubber line coming in appears to be the same. Everything seemed to tighten back up, just need to grab one of the kids to bleed the brakes and see if I can get a good pedal again!

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

I'm going to give that a go. The copper hydraulic lines seem to wander off, and then enter bulkheads with no clear picture of where they go next!

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

The hydraulics are up and working now, the belly wheel retract and deploy, the water jet door cover and associated wave break comes up as well. The other two handles are a bit more confusing. The one at the front seems to serve a function to route the primary hydraulics, without being in one of...

    BRDM-2 Konkurs/Spandrel 9P148

Recently purchased this from Todd down at Tank Town. Sorting through a couple of small things (stripped out tee for the rear brakes) but otherwise she's nearly ready for the road! I gather there aren't too many of these state side, and I have some English manuals for the BRDM-2 series, but...

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

We'll see what I can get done with her. Currently I'm glad she runs down the road well, getting the generation portion up and working is step number two, but easily achievable using the second method I outlined.

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

    No doubt!

Obtaining an eastern european APC is hard here in the US. I just want one!

I've got an OT-64 I could be convinced to part with. Shoot me a PM

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

I have been talking with DRS via phone and email about the history of the machine. No documentation yet, but I remain hopeful that they will share what they can. Here's a comment regarding the vehicle from the product manager: "The HMMWV you purchased is a Bid Sample version and is at least a...

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

You can barely make out the coolant in the bottom of this module, I'm guessing that it isn't recoverable. The plan currently is to work on the engine speed management side as well as the rectifying unit so that DC output can be achieved. From there, replacing the invertor can be handled using a...

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

Ok, so as I mentioned it had a couple of bits and pieces installed in the footwells of the rear passenger and drivers side seats. These two liquid cooled modules have two functions. The first takes the three phase output from the generator head and rectify the output to high voltage DC. This is...

A few more shots of some of the bits and pieces.

    HMMWV OBVP-2 Prototype Onboard Generation

Ok, so a quick thread regarding this HMMWV I purchased back in January. Took about 2 months for clearance of the EUC, and then she was trailered up to me in Northern VA. Not a bad looking truck overall, just the unusual bits that the OBVP units were equipped with, namely a 30kW permanent magnet...

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

Yep, that's ours, bought from govplanet on the first go around. We have cattle, land and barns, so it has room to live!
