    Axle u bolts need specs

I contacted them. Thank you. Can anyone confirm the dimensions I need. I found someone swapping out their cab and chassis axles for regular. I want to go the other way around. We both have CUCVs, and I have an Eaton for the front to toss in. His already has one. Out here where I am, military...

    If I was an electron.....

Electrons never see the greater picture. Just don't tell them, it affects their positive outlook.

    Puking power steering pump?

Well that's a big suck then. I put that in just a bit ago too. I was leaning toward a steering box being plugged. A pump sure easier and cheaper.

    Puking power steering pump?

Is been 6000 miles. Only fluid loss is at the pump.

    Puking power steering pump?

Hydro boost issue Driving back to MY from Tennessee my brake pedal decided to start sinking toward the floor. It pumps up quick and is fine for a bit. This is a supposed reman unit from Napa. Any chance this is a readily fixable issue? I doubt it's air in the lines, as fluid is still...

    Ignition Lock Cylinder/Hot wire/Push-button start?

Yes. Run a hot lead to the injection pump. Look up the connections here. Then run a hot to the little wire going to the starter. If it's warm out, it should start without glow plugs. If not, you'll need to supply juice to that relay and to it's little wire to warm them. I've thought about...

Tap N Die Starter Bolt holes. Yep it happened.

Use a small, 1/8" bit to drill a pilot hole. A good, cobalt or similar bit is worth the money. Then go at it with the reverse, left handed bit.

    Sparky in the engine bay

Reconnected with a new cable. Same thing again only I caught it before I even had the ground all the way on the busbars. Disconnected the starter cable and no issues. The new, just installed Napa rebuilt starter is grounded out. When it went, it took my busbars with it , as they turned crispy...

    Sparky in the engine bay

Here's the issue. A few days ago someone turned over the truck while I had the hood up. I normally have ground cables everywhere, but the one to the engine block was disconnected. The one to the frame was not. I got big Sparks at the block jumping to the ground lead as it was running. I'm...

    Oil loss / use.

I had to run it open to air for the 1500 mile trip. Lots of smoke, but minimal oil loss. I got a turbo CDR and in order to use it positioned right, I had to raise it on a stiff hose. I plan to plum it in at the far end of the filter and see how that works.

    Puking power steering pump?

The hydro boost is in and a cooler is next. Still got to pull the front wheels to check the brakes and bleed the steering.
