Well, here’s a fun one. Looks as if I’ve had a major oil pump failure. Seems as tho whatever caused it had been going on for a while before it finally gave up.
I guess it’s going to be a total tear down and rebuild on the non-air side of things. Wish me luck!
Yes, to all of the above. It kerthunk kerthunks through all the gears, including reverse. We keep it oiled as well. It slightly lunges in each gear, but it won’t engage completely.
I’m going to start going thru the steps in the TM for troubleshooting this weekend.
Morning everyone!
I have a bit of a problem with the transmission in our 917. Yes, I’m going to study up on the TM’s, but I figured I might as well start a thread to document my plight. Also would like any guidance you all could offer along this journey I fear I’m about to take!
Well, here it...
This makes me happy, as my 1040 is bout 350' away from my front door. That's a long run for a fat guy when the power goes out (especially when it's raining)
Easy peasy, cut the top plate on the 2x4's and sister in 2x6 the full height of the wall. You'll have to order a door with a wider jamb if that's what is framed out there, if its just a window you're golden. Not really a hard fix at all since the sheetrock isn't up yet.
Is the interior...
If I wasn't so far away from them (since they're in Kansas), I would have bid you up some on em! That $220 closing bid was dirt cheap.
Please start a thread and let us know what shape they're in.
Yeah, that's the knee-jerk reaction I expected, but I'm more of a details and specifics kinda guy. I understand policy has consequences, but they should be pretty close across the board since the same awful policies should effect these stations exactly the same seeing as they all get the fuel...
I can't for the life of me figure out what the deal is with diesel prices around me. Within a 4 mile drive I can find prices for a gallon of diesel varying from $5.69 to $5.09. Literally on the exact same highway. And the best part is one day the first station I pass will be the highest, and...
Over here in South Carolina on the coast, there's a specific color called "Haint Blue" that is used to paint porch ceilings. The Gullah claimed it kept the evil spirits from entering one's residence. It works wonders for keeping the spiders and such away.
This is the most important part of this response. There are so many different factors that come into play when installing a backup generator, depending on transfer switching method, location, mounting, and enclosure type the generator is located. If in doubt, ask someone who does it for a living!
This is accurate per the NEC. You can drive as many ground rods as you'd like, but it can only be bonded to the neutral at the first means of disconnect. Our code requires ground rods at any outbuildings as well. Its also smart to have one for the gen set too.
In theory, yes, you could load it up that way. I cannot fathom a situation in which you would do that though, unless you had one giant single phase 120v motor or something like that.
For normal operation, I would assume that one would have a regular ole split buss 240v panel that would...
Respectfully,
You're missing the point that you cannot have over 52 amps on a single leg in the 120v operation. The only way to get the 104 amp output is by utilizing two legs, with 52 on each leg. 6awg wire is fine for the 10kw generators unless you are concerned with voltage drop over long...
