Update: I do have the title now guys, (2 months later). Bummer is it does NOT have a 17 digit VIN. Sooo Im not sure what they are going to look at or register it as. Ive read they combine 2 numbers?
I have read about the Dot 5 fluid. Ill definitly be researching fluids this week as Ive learned they just stood her up and wiped her nose and sent her out the door, which is perfectly fine, I just need to establish a baseline and get everything freshened up.
Ill check around for some. I like a challenge I may check out the ebay ones to play around with. Ive built exhausts and turbo systems before. Thanks again fsearls92!!
I do weld, at work and at home so patching it was an option but the gouge is about a foot long and 1/2 to 3/4 wide. Id like to just replace it. Its also hard to reach as its on the back side, facing up towards the fender. Ha Im gonna love this thing.
Nice, guys. Thanks!! Im stoked. Found a split in the exhaust u pipe so Ill start sourcing one of those. Any ideas? Definitely the brakes just to get aquainted with the cylinders and part numbers even though 2 mins after leaving the lot a dog ran out in front of me and she stopped well from 45...
Driver glass is pretty clean but cracked at the bottom. Didnt get the bows or canvas. I wanted the open flatbed. Wasnt bad, rode from Dover De to Denton Md without a hiccup
It was a soft top but I asked the dude if he could throw a hard one on for me from one of the other 6 deuces that were there amongst the bajillion 5 tons. He threw it in at no cost. Also like the air wipers and how good of shape the interior is in.
Finally drove the old girl home from about 40 mins away. Not one hiccup. Wonderful nostalgic vibrations of which Ive never been a part. The looks I got. Its so fun to drive. Ill fix the horn first and move through it piece by piece.
Awesome. I drove my m35 home yesterday. She actually has a 17 digit vin. Bumper says MDNG, Im assuming maryland national guard so thats why the vin was generated I suppose. As soon as I get the title, its on!
Interesting. Sounds like they were focusing on the Humvees for inspection to me. I brought her home yesterday on a pretty good shake down run. Cruised at 54 effortlessly. Paitently waiting for title.
Thats exactly what I was gonna do guys. Ill just be quiet and if they ask say its a big farm truck I wanna use on my property. Im definitely not the type to offer more info than absolutely necessary. Thanks again guys and when shes ready, Ill post my progress on the tags. Guy said the truck has...
Sounds good fellas. I have a tag and title place I use near my work. Ive done plenty of business with them. Cut dry and out in 15 mins. Has anyone ever transferred a title from one state to another on the MV's? Same process as a car I assume.
I wish there was someone who has tagged a MV in Maryland recently to reinstill faith in ownership and operation for me. I know it doesnt require inspection for historic and already asked State Farm so thats a go. Truck supposedly has title so I suppose I will start there and hope for the best?
Hello all! Ive been doing research on this site for some time now all leading up to one day owning and operating my own M35A2. That day is upon me. Ive picked it out and committed. I excitedly posted the photos on my social media and low and behold I received the following picture from a friend...
