Bombardier MLVW , anyone know these beasts ?

The braking system is not the only issue for not selling them to the public, the Trunion has a habit of snapping at the bearing housing, the whole fleet was temporarily grounded when 2 incidents of this happened in a short period, all the trunions were ultra-sound inspected and the one that...

Yes actually Groot starts quite fine, I turn the master on and wait for about 10 seconds for the fuel pump to run and give him a couple of pumps on the accelerator and pull the lever and he starts up pretty good, I too have to install a in-line heater though and yes those NDT's are ugly on snow...

The picture of the tape measuring the snow was to the first level of crust, when we broke the crust and pushed it down it was over 24 inches of snow, those NDT's don't like ice crystals and were just spinning....Thanks to Plowboy(Batman) and his Bobcat, we got her out of the bottom end of our...

Unfortunately, that goes for anything even classic cars and trucks...these shows like American and Canadian Picker have destroyed our chance of getting better deals.. cause like you say that think they have 'gold' even though they have let everything sit in a field to rot, but also say that they...

There are parts available, just depends on what parts you want/need....some are available at your local truck/trailer parts supplier, some are available through Memphis Equipment and other commercial retailers and then there are parts available from people like me who do have extra NOS and used...

Bombardier MLVW , anyone know these beasts ?

"The 8.2 Penny Pincher Diesel" engine as we knew and called them with the Allison Trani, did have problem with throwing connecting rods through the side of the block at times.. but when they ran good--they ran good....the HIAB's were a good addition to these vehicles... I used them many times...

Bombardier MLVW , anyone know these beasts ?

The trunnions are the pivot point on the spring package mount between the Differentials on this vehicle...they were breaking at the inside of the inner bearing, were the machine surface stopped, they were actually breaking off completely at this point...the Canadian Military is not letting...
