Star Delta is in extremely wide use here. I never saw one in the Army, and was blown away at the Trade school at its simplicity. I too thought it would be a direct short. Works great.

You dont by chance have a TM for the heater? The cord should be listed there. Makes it easier to find.

If it wasn't needed, you can bet it would not be there.

Matt, go to the TM section and find the TB for the heater installation. Don't know if any information in there would be of help, as I have never given it a serious look at. But who knows?
