The vehicle mounted radio should be fine w 24 VDC. The manpack versions need the special battery that has multiple voltages, unfortunately, unless you find a modern adapter that has the necessary voltage step ups and so on. Not to say it can't be done, but it will take a little doing. Here is...
I have registered as a vendor and plan to attend.
If anyone wants to see a HMMWV soft slant back kit in person, please plan to come by. I plan to take several frames and all my covers on hand with. Tell me what color and material you want to see and I will try to have one on hand. Also, I am...
Also, to be very clear: the full tailgate width version is a beta prototype and I don't know if I will be offering it yet. I need some field information about how well it holds up first. My Mk2 and Mk2.1 covers are made for the already-tested frame and those are in stock now.

Here is a couple pictures of black versions. One is PVC and one is civilian sailcloth. My Facebook page has a lot more “action photos”. I am not allowed to link it here, but if you go to FB and search Madmountain Military you’ll find me.

Am considering attending as a vendor. This post is to ask folks familiar with this event for their opinions if this is the kind of swap meet and market whose attendees would be interested in canvas and vinyl repairs, HMMWV window zipper repairs, new HMMWV rear curtains, curtain upgrades and...
Giving this post a bump to ask folks familiar with this event for their opinions if this is the kind of swap meet and market whose attendees would be interested in canvas and vinyl repairs, my HMMWV soft slant back kits, HMMWV window zipper repairs, HMMWV rear curtains, curtain upgrades and...
Tarp (noun): a rectangular swath of fabric with a hemmed edge and grommets. Intended to be draped over something to keep the weather at bay.
My offer has caused some confusion.
I'm offering rectangular tarps with a folded hem/edge and evenly spaced grommets at $15 a linear yard. I am not...
I realize most cannot reply to the Classifieds, and I don't want to run afoul of the no-advertising in the general forum rules, so if you are interested in talking about custom made tarps please start a conversation with me or hit the Like button here and I will reach out to you.
Why am I...
As best able, yes. I was replacing the transmission/oil cooler as part of the task, so I just drained everything. I would have liked if I could have kept the steering cooler and lines filled, but it managed to leak.

Making OD Green kits this week and next. What colors next?
Prices are slightly lower than last year, to reflect savings in production time (labor costs) from using a new design and no welding. Next time I have to buy PVC though I'm expecting increases. No idea what tariffs are going to do to my...
Agree on using vacuum line caps, or whatever your local source calls them.
In my HMMWV there is ZERO slack in the lines to the cooling stack. Sorry, but yours is probably the same. Standard drain and removal. It's messy, and bleeding the air in the steering and fan after refilling was a pain...
The stock HMMWV has 4 radiators: One for engine coolant (the "classic" radiator we all know, an engine oil cooler and a transmission fluid cooler (these are in a combined unit that sits on top of the large radiator) and lastly a power steering fluid cooler (that's the little one 3" thick that...
Bump. Mil Spec PVC tan and black vinyl covers in stock and one civilian tan sailcloth. OD Green PVC on hand along with black, tan and saddle brown sailcloth.
Appreciated, and agreed, but this engine has never been great. It's leaking from every seam. Better to replace than repair at this point. I got maybe 3000mi on it after it was swapped in. I'll have to do a better job with the replacement.

Well today was a bust. It started well. I met my neighbor’s two teenage sons who are in auto technician school and gave them lots of instruction about HMMWVs. They were very helpful and we got the hood off and began tearing down the cooling stack to get my radiator off to pressure test.
Then we...
