For sale is an upgraded NOS TAN 2-man curtain part number 12340737-2. It has some shelf wear from storage but is in very good condition. The original window was badly clouded up, so it was removed and replaced with a larger window made from 35"x17" 40 gauge double polished marine vinyl, more...
For sale is an upgraded NOS TAN 2-man curtain part number 12340737-2. It has some shelf wear from storage but is in very good condition. The original window was badly clouded up, so it was removed and replaced with a larger window and I added zippers to allow it to roll up in the center. Get to...
I'll chip in with this link to the Hummer Knowledge Base which has some part numbers and cross references as well: http://www.hummerknowledgebase.com/HMMWV.html

I think my DB2 needs a refresh too. I called a local place and they said just buy a rebuilt one online. It’s not worth their effort to rebuild mine.
There’s a place in Pensacola on eBay that has them for $600 or so. They have very good feedback ratings. I’ll probably order from them.
I’m going...
A simple replacement dash sounds like a good idea. The biggest challenge to the design that I can see in my mind's eye is that most 3D printers are limited on build space, so the design would have to be modular and then assembled. Maybe that means making different modules that can be assembled...
I think this is a good idea TOBASH. Many of us have done some piddling around making parts here and there. We do have a section, but no one has stepped up to moderate and curate it (unless I missed it).
Here's an info bit: I heard Autodesk has free or cheap subscriptions for veterans , for...
Hey @SGSC-G4, are you the range master again this year? My family and I would like to do some shooting. We'll be there Friday through Sunday mid-day. How should we arrange the opportunity?
See you soon,

Replaced the clear vinyl in my front passenger soft door this morning. First I cut a piece of 40ga marine vinyl to fit and then glued it to the zipper. This was to hold it in place while I stitched.
Then I had to disassemble the foot of my HD sewing machine to get the frame under it.
I could...
Made time last weekend and the last two evenings to get the new water pump on. Also replaced the failed trans/oil cooler. Everything appears to be working and no leaks spotted. Still a lot of noise from the power steering system but I expect it will even out once all the air is run out of it...
I start a whirlwind of maintenance this Saturday morning. We will get the new water pump on the 6.5TD and plumb the new transmission/oil radiator and any other maintenance I can get done before 8/28. Going to try for the full lube order, as it's definitely time for that. I have some helpers...
I hear ya. Since I'm not a professional, and doing this outside with standard tools, I expect 10 hours is unlikely for me too. I'm going to call in favors to increase manpower on it, hoping that will help.
Time will tell.

Replaced the glow plugs, as they had all burned out. Starts much easier. I was soooooooo happy that none were swelled. It was still incredibly tedious to get them out and replaced, with most of the work done w/ a 3/8 combination end wrench.
Also figured out that the garage that installed my new...
Am envious you found a radiator repairman. There are none left where I live. I went with the Champion and it's great though. Still, I've had other vehicles and will no doubt again have other vehicles that could have used a place that can repair radiators. Take everything you can to him, before...
