Just a little follow up, I can not find those fuel filter gaskets anywhere (Wix 15398 gasket kit) , the parts house don't cross reference them and nobody can order them. I would like to change my reused one on the filter that I have but I guess that will have to wait till the next filter...
Uniquify, that is exactly what I needed, thanks for the info! I purchased the dash 202 washers for the bottom of the fuel bowl and it seals well, so if anybody needs some I have plenty (came in a pack of 100). I'll get these ordered, I operate off of 2 is 1 and 1 is none.
Getting ready to plumb a 8135 pump and I need to know the size of both ends a the G-17 filter to connect it to the pump. I don't do this type of plumbing with NPT, Jic, and NPSF fittings often so I have a learning curve. Also will teflon tape be good for diesel fuel?
Thanks
The thick wide inner gasket/washer between the filter and the housing is the one I need, it didn't come with the the Wix filter I used. I've been looking for the thick washer but no luck, I may have to pull the used one out of my housing to measure it to see what I can come up with. It looks...
It seemed like it was a flat washer but I'll get some of those Dash o-rings for the next filter change. For the filter bowl I checked for a manufacturer stamp but couldn't find one so now I'm stuck on that bushing.
Does anybody have a source for the canister fuel filter gaskets? Changed the canister gasket and the Wix filter only came with the top outer bowl gasket, I reused the gasket for the top of the filter. Also is there a gasket for the bottom of the fuel bowl where the bolt goes through.
Follow up on the Wema fuel sender, I put in the 8.5 version and put a plastic spacer on the bottom of the sender, after I got it in I don't think it needed it maybe it's needed for an 802. My Beede fuel gauge was pegged all the way over to passed empty and stuck so I took it out and loosened the...
Hurricane Beryl was a wind event so the power lines were hit with downed trees, Harvey was a flooding event, when we had the freeze or power generation is set up for hot weather so that freeze kicked our ass.
I have a 250 gallon above ground tank that I use for tractors and mowers.
I am going to clean out my fuel tank because the tube with the screen filter is rusted. I want to replace the fuel sender with the Wema style sender, I thought I saw a thread on the part number to do this but I can only find the info fro an 802. If anyone has done this do you have the part...
Just did 4 days with power outage from the hurricane and my 803 did perfect, best thing I ever did was installing an EasyStart on my A/C unit, it brought the starting amps for the A/C down to 26 amps.
The 803 used about 3/4 gallon an hour I ran everything including the well, I didn't use the...
Ok, so checked the TM and there was a really good picture of how it goes back together, there is not enough thread to put a locking bolt on the back so I guess I'll use some lock-tite so it doesn't back out!
So I got to look at solenoid more closely and I found that the lever is in the wrong position (see pic), this may be putting the solenoid in a bind. When I move it to the correct position the lever binds on the adjustment stops. My question is does the nut that is shown in my picture go between...
Well, still on generator power but I did freehand the rack today, it doesn't seem to be binding and it has worked twice today. They say power should be back by Wednesday, after that I delve into it some more.
