AS NOTED.. JUST THOUGHT TO POST HERE. MY 803A RADIATOR HAS A LEAK PLUS ITS' NOT LOOKING LIKE ONE WITH NO ISSUES LOL .. - IF I CAN'T GET IT FIXED FOR REASONABLE $$ .. WILL BE IN NEED OF A radiator..

Trying to find document/manual/whatever you wish to call it on the skid base its self.
30554-88-22010 as per parts manual brings up nothing.
Any input is welcome..

General question on hydrolock and attempting to start a mep (for example)
** not knowing u may have hydrolock and attempting to start a mep a few times - then
realizing what may be going on... Is there a usual first thing to take a hit?? Then a 2nd item??

Decided to post new thread and not sidestep others.
In bringing a MEP-803A back to life I got from Virginia via GL more then several road blocks have shown up.
In a nutshell just wanted to give thanks to all for the knowledge and time - and post where I am at via picures lol.

Have a mep-803a rotor/stator in box - just the rotor/stator assembly. Has the individaul does not ship wondering if anyone
in this part of ny.. Well i may have 2 lol..
Just need to get it shipped via a reliable freight comp.. Just thought to ask since you live in the area..
How do you check these little 4 cylinders by hand crank.. Is there a pressure release valve or other way to help in manually turning over?
Going to take top covers off and put a little lube oil in before.
Sorry but was looking for info on hand cranking or turning over the LPW using my cell...
I take it one can separate the top shell with electrics from bottom base with skid rails by taking out
the bolts / screws all the way around the sides at base. Plus i found 4 or 5 inside behind the engine
"going across".. That and the lift rings bolts.
Any other "hidden" bolts inside stopping...
Simple question..
Is the rule - tear down and put back together a surplus / new used / etc crated or even mep gen set
that has been sitting for who knows how long??
Guess i answered my own question.
Ok - anyone find something they didn't think they would find when doing this..
