I fought the LAW and I WON!

Ok, here's a quick reply, hopefully I answer all the questions: 1- I WANTED an OD truck with a white star, however, when this truck presented itself to me through a member here on SS, I simply COULD NOT turn it down. It was in great condition, and being a fireman, I fell for RED. 2 - I...

I fought the LAW and I WON!

This story is for all those guys that have been told "NO" because the Deuce is a bit different and very misunderstood. As many of you may or may not know, Long Island NY, is the largest island in the continental USA. It is 118 miles long, extending eastward from New York City. It is only...

These brackets are also listed as part of the Winch kit, are they nescessary to secure my bumper in an extended position, or just for the winch setup?

    W/W bumper extensions for a W/OW truck?

Thats a step in the right direction, now we know it can be done WITHOUT a winch, now to just track down some plates.....

    W/W bumper extensions for a W/OW truck?

Clinto, Any idea what the official name or PN is for the frame extension brackets are?, The closest thing I see on Saturn is # 2540-00-753-8685, they call it "Bracket - Winch", no pic available of course, and customer service doesn't know what it is.....

    W/W bumper extensions for a W/OW truck?

My plan is to make a tool box that sinks down below the bumper line (like fire trucks have now), and just has its lid at the top of the bumper. No grill blocking at all, plus its another surface to stand upon while working. As for the bottom of that toolbox, since it will now be sticking out...

Right, these are the OD Iron outer plates which I referenced, that I plan to use for stepping area, but any insight to the frame extensions plates?

    W/W bumper extensions for a W/OW truck?

Hello all, Half of you guys will probably crucify me for this, and the other half applaud the ingenuity, so here it goes....I am pondering the idea of using W/W bumper frame extensions on my W/OW truck to make a decent gap in between the bumper and frame. The purpose of this would be, to...

A poor experience, and my lessons learned

I recently put a new "flapper" style exhaust cap on the deuce (AKA House Of Pain) with an extended straight pipe. The flapper cap costs $10 at a local truck shop, and the straight pipe was $3.00 per foot. I added a 7 foot length coming off an exhaust clamp just after the outside bend. It now...

    Hey from New York City

    new style light switch install.

Installed a TACOM switch about a year ago. No problems so far. I did make sure I ran a nice clean ground wire all the way down the the chassis. Use good clean terminal loops and make sure the chassis is ground down to bare metal before you attach it. Then just spray over it to protect from...

    Underbed tool box w/ 395s

That would be great if you have a chance to measure. Let me know how big that gap is end to end, with a few "safe" inches for tire clearance.

    Underbed tool box w/ 395s

Hello all, I'm looking for anyone who has mounted a "under bed" toolbox in the pioneer tool rack position. Specifically, I'm looking for someone who has done this AND is running bigger tires like the 395s. I have a good deal on a toolbox, but am also installing 395s this month. I...

Old girl gets some new kicks (395 XZL's)

I didn't realize how close Kublos was to me. I called Ken Jr today. We spoke for 15 minutes about his stock. What a NICE guy. He said not to make the trip just yet because the tires he had weren't the best and he had more coming soon. Thats definitely the kind of person you want to do...

    Securing and locking the doors

Please correct me if I'm wrong. It looks just like a padlock hasp with the screws under the plate instead of out. The only way to use this would be to mount it on the OUTSIDE of your door and padlock it. They also really only work properly when the screws can sink deep into wood. For a Deuce...
