I was planning on getting one already titled anyway, so at least I won't have to deal with that. Maybe I'll try getting ahold of the state office again to see if I can get a proper answer this time. But it would be nice to be able to register it as a stupidly heavy pickup truck.

I really hope it's that simple here. Though it wouldn't surprise me if I went to a more rural DOT office and they just issued me the plates.
