Just bought a trailer that is in Fayetteville, NC, needing transport 95 miles to Wilmington, NC. I’d considered pulling it back myself but the risks seem to outweigh the benefits. Anyone traveling along this route?

Although inconvenient for states that are more flexible, SOP need to be geared state by state or designed to fit the "lowest common denominator".

Looking at this post a second time, there clearly would be a better way to handle the "sale", which would be to put the money that is to go toward the vehicle into an escrow account to be released when the vehicle and documents necessary for titling/registering are delivered to the buyer.
Then...
I am in NC, and this is exactly the DISASTER I am talking about. I am worried because I have a state senator connected to the street where I live. This is a powder keg waiting to blow.

Where are you getting the January timeframe to get an SF-97? Is that from GovPlanet? Freaking out a little, because I've been waiting since April. I am going to have issues with my HOA/state as well if it really will be 2018 before a SF-97 is seen.

Question for fpchief
fpchief,
First time buyer of a m998? or on govplanet?
I am curious if this was your first EUC. If it was, you have some magic attached to you that I want to ask you about lotto numbers.
Got my EUC for m998 today. First time EUC applicant.
04/28/2017 Auction won, EUC sumitted to govplanet
05/02/2017 EUC submitted to TSA
05/08/2017 EUC accepted by TSA
07/18/2017 EUC approved
Customer Service said that SF-97 wait time right now is about 4 weeks.
Title will be another 4-6 weeks.
Purchased M998 and need to get her home. Would like to keep transport within the SteelSoldier family. Need to pick up by 5/15. Would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.
