    Big overheating issues. Help required.

Pump worked fine, coolant rushed out. The original thermostat looked to be in decent shape but the gasket had completely disintegrated. Replaced them both to be sure. Temps still climbed up to 220f(and I'm assuming 240f if I had not just shut her down.) Unplugged the TDR and sure enough she was...

    Big overheating issues. Help required.

Thanks for all the wonderful info all. I just got in the parts for kascar(30 minutes down the road from me!) with both a new thermostat and a new gasket for it. The oil looks good as does the pressure, so I believe it's some sort of a flow issue, either with the water pump or maybe the radiator...

    Big overheating issues. Help required.

I'm looking up thermostats and it seems most everything now is for H1s, so I'm a bit confused on what exactly I need? Anyone have a part number or better yet a link to a place with them in stock for not a benduover price? I do not believe it's the radiator cap but I may go ahead and replace...

    Big overheating issues. Help required.

Being in the middle of an expensive move I do not have the money for process of elimination. Anyone have a good...

Thanks for all the help/advice so far. **UPDATE 6/8/18 87f and sunny. Topped off coolant and took her for a spin for an hour stopping/turning off/neutral several times checking with a temp gun. I could not get it hotter than 243f. Also no leaks of any kind, oil and coolant levels good, oil...

    6.2 running at 240 consistently.

Had 6.2 M998 over a year. It's always read 230-240f and then fan kicked on. I changed the oil last week and it went up to 238f, never touched 240 and the fan never kicked on. I did notice at random it dropped to 210-220f. Yesterday I fixed a coolant leak from heater core by bypassing it using...

How to bypass heater core? Help appreciated!

So just get rid of those two hoses entirely and put a hose connecting the port on lower part of block to the other port higher up? It's a small world.. Guess what town in NC I also live in? :) If you can confirm the first question for me shoot me a PM with your paypal and I'll send you over...

How to bypass heater core? Help appreciated!

M998 owner here, trying to learn to do things myself rather than the lazy/shop route. Coolant is pissing out on passengers feet. Reservoir is low. HMMWV is getting hotter. Green line is current level. I do not have the time(moving) to replace the heater core anytime soon. That said just how do...
