Big overheating issues. Help required.
6.2L No leaks at all, good engine pressure. Fan stopped cutting on this past winter. Now if idling more than 5 minutes she shoots up to 250 and overflows.(have since stopped driving.) 6.2 running at 240 consistently.
Had 6.2 M998 over a year. It's always read 230-240f and then fan kicked on. I changed the oil last week and it went up to 238f, never touched 240 and the fan never kicked on. I did notice at random it dropped to 210-220f. Yesterday I fixed a coolant leak from heater core by bypassing it using... -

How to bypass heater core? Help appreciated!
M998 owner here, trying to learn to do things myself rather than the lazy/shop route. Coolant is pissing out on passengers feet. Reservoir is low. HMMWV is getting hotter. Green line is current level. I do not have the time(moving) to replace the heater core anytime soon. That said just how do...
