Hello. I have an M925A1 with this cannon plug next to the diagnostics plug. Many of you have seen it and I was wondering if any of you had the NSN or better yet, the Mouser stock number for the connecting plug. I’m trying to set up a power buss under the right console and this would be the...
What is the recommended exhaust manifold bolt torque value for an NHC-250? I found the assembly instructions in the TM but there is no mention of how much torque to apply to the bolts.
I just purchased three Hutchinson Bead Locks from Military Tires of Canada. One of them had no rivets intact to hold the rubber band in place around the stiffener. They were a great price, $36 a piece, plus $119 shipping. I called to discuss the issue and some Russian dude answered the phone...
I’ve seen the HUMVEE ratchet strap for their inserts on EBay but never the one for truck tires. Please let me know if you ever see one or you find someone who’s willing to rent the use of it. I am in western PA and would drive quite a ways to get two of them done. Just want them for the front...
I have some run flat inserts and would like to install them in my Michelin XZL 16R20 tires but can’t find a vendor who has the machine or know how to install them. I’ve called and emailed Hutchinson numerous times and they won’t respond. Tried the Army at Toby Hanna where they have the machine...
Holy smoke! Good for you. I wish everyone had that much integrity, you’re a good man. You wouldn’t have taken the time to help me and share this event if you weren’t. And you’re right, at least that soldier knows mechanical problems contributed greatly to the accident and he gets more sleep.
Thanks for the insight. It seems as though all of our technical guidance has some pages “written in blood.” Some advice I received early on in the USAF is that when you’re planning a mission and there is an opportunity to do something dumb, dangerous, or different, think about it carefully...
Very nice work, perfect for the job at hand. My trailer was $408 from Govt Planet. For the robust nature of these trailers, well worth the money. I can see why you choose to use them as platforms for other functions.
Thank you for your help! Your time is much appreciated as I endeavor to make my trailer great again. It will carry tires and tools for the M925 when we go to shows.
First off, that is a great looking trailer you made. Secondly, I discovered that the entire pintle is loose from the mount. Here's a photo of the replacement part. The spindle on my trailer slides free when I take the nut off and they welded a washer to the nut. Here's a photo of the new...
Thank you. The 1990 version is what I was using. I’ll try and get some photos of the loose assembly. The TM does not show the top of the spindle with the nut/washer combo that’s there.
Hello all, I just purchased an M105A2 from DLA. The landing gear does not fully extend to a right angle. It locks into place but I believe there is supposed to be a big washer between the gear assembly and the trailer frame but the TM we have for the M105A2 on Steel Soldiers does not depict it...
Anybody know what those sticks mounted to the end of the front bumper are called to help the driver make sure they’re clear of obstacles. Did the M939 series (M925A1 in my case) have them? Attached is a photo of an M819 with one on the passenger side of the bumper.
That’s the most practical idea but my property has a slight downhill pitch to it and I’d need to do some earth work to make it look okay. Rather than that, I thought a cover would be easiest.
Does anyone know of a vendor who offers storage covers for 5-ton, M939 series trucks? Adco makes a nice cover for my RV and I’d like to do the same for my 5-ton baby over the winter. If no ideas, I’ll probably get one from Adco for an F350 based motorhome. Thanks.
