    Yes I saved the surge brakes, the pintle hitch was cut off, 3" square was welded in its place and installed the 2" ball hitch.

    Finished painting my M1101 trailer. Had already lowered frame at axle and added different rims and tires. Also had converted to a regular 2" hitch.

    I did not realize this M888 vehicle was that rare, I will not be putting a regular box on it will leave it with utility box on it. I'm working on another pickup, (not military) so haven't given this much attention yet. It sitting inside my shop, so its out of the elements. Thanks

    I have a 1977 M888. I have located a regular 8 foot truck bed which I would like to install on the frame, instead of the utility box. My question is, does the M888 frame have the correct mounts for attaching the standard box. Thanks
